The LCD backlight brightness decay automatic compensation method comprises the following steps: reading power-on time data, carrying out calculation processing on the power-on time data, and outputting accumulated time data; preset parameter data are collected, the accumulated time data and the preset parameter data are calculated and processed, and a brightness attenuation model is output; outputting a current backlight brightness value based on a brightness attenuation model; obtaining an initial backlight brightness value, comparing the current backlight brightness value with the initial backlight brightness value, and outputting a current PWM duty ratio; resolving the current PWM duty ratio, the current backlight brightness value and the initial backlight brightness value, and outputting a preprocessed PWM duty ratio; and adjusting the output current of the backlight LED chip according to the pre-processed PWM duty ratio so as to adjust the backlight brightness. According to the scheme provided by the invention, a predictive compensation mechanism can be established, and the brightness of the LCD display screen can be maintained.
