Abstract

The invention relates to an air duct for conducting gas generated in a gas generator into a safety airbag, characterized in that the air duct comprises a connection section for fixed connection to the gas generator, a radial expansion section adjoining the connection section downstream, into which the gas generator, upon triggering, ejects gas using its gas ejection opening, wherein the radial expansion section has a larger diameter than the connection section, a gas deflection section adjoining the radial expansion section downstream, into which gas can be deflected, and a flow separation section adjoining the gas deflection section downstream, which has at least two gas outlets of different orientation, from which gas can be separated into the safety airbag, respectively.
