A method of manufacturing a foam core with inserts and a foam core with inserts

Abstract

This invention belongs to the field of composite material testing technology, and discloses a method for manufacturing a foam core material with inserts, as well as the foam core material with inserts. The method for manufacturing the foam core material with inserts involves preparing raw materials required for molding the foam core material body, and preparing damaged structural components according to the desired damage shape; placing the raw materials and damaged structural components in a mold, and after the raw materials have foamed and shaped, demolding to obtain a foam core material body with internally located damaged structural components; detecting and marking the position of the damaged structural components within the foam core material body using a detection device; and cutting the foam core material body using a cutting mechanism to change the position of the damaged structural components within the foam core material body, so that the cut foam core material body obtains damaged areas of the desired shape and location. This method can simulate damage of the desired shape and location within the foam core material body, facilitating the study of the mechanical properties of the damaged foam core material body.
