AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

In side-link communication on unlicensed frequency bands, the receiver WTRU may fail to acquire physical side-link feedback channel resources due to the failure of the listen-before-transmit function, causing the transmitter WTRU to perform unnecessary retransmissions, resulting in congestion and resource waste.

Method used

By receiving threshold configuration information of the physical side link feedback channel resources, the system judges the HARQ feedback situation and autonomously decides whether to retransmit or switch to uplink authorized resources for transmission, thereby achieving autonomous retransmission and resource optimization.

Benefits of technology

This effectively avoids the waste of retransmissions caused by failures due to listening before transmitting, optimizes resource utilization, and reduces communication congestion.

Abstract

Methods and apparatus for autonomous sidelink (SL) configured grant (CG) retransmission are described herein. A wireless transmit / receive unit (WTRU) may receive configuration information for thresholds of one or more physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) resources. The WTRU may transmit a transport block (TB) associated with a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process at a first configured grant (CG) occasion. The transmission may be an initial transmission or a retransmission. The WTRU may retransmit the TB at a second CG occasion based on the number of one or more PSFCH resources in which no HARQ feedback is received being greater than the threshold.
