Abstract

This disclosure provides systems, apparatus, apparatuses, and methods, including computer programs encoded on a storage medium, for reducing overhead associated with configuring and measuring TRSs carried on CSI-RS resources to generate channel correlation reports. The UE (102) receives (904) a configuration for a channel correlation report from a network entity (104). The configuration indicates a CMR that carries the TRS. The UE (102) receives (910), from the network entity (104), a trigger indication of a channel correlation report based on the CMR carrying the TRS. The UE (102) receives (912) the TRS from the network entity (104). The TRS includes a periodic TRS, a non-periodic TRS, a semi-persistent TRS, or any combination thereof. The UE (102) sends (916) a channel correlation report to the network entity (104). The channel correlation report includes measurement information of channel correlation associated with the TRS.
