The invention discloses container equipment and a control method, the container equipment comprises a container, a positioning identification device and a direction adjusting device, the positioning identification device is arranged in the container, the direction adjusting device is mounted in the middle of the bottom end of the container, and the direction adjusting device comprises a supporting base, a first mounting frame, a first lifting mechanism and a first driving mechanism; the first mounting frame is rotationally connected to the top end of the supporting base around a first vertical axis, the bottom end of the first lifting mechanism is connected to the first mounting frame, the top end of the first lifting mechanism is connected to the container so as to drive the supporting base and the container to relatively move in the vertical direction, and the first driving mechanism is connected to the first mounting frame and the supporting base. The container can be rapidly and accurately rotated to the needed extending direction, operation is easy and convenient, labor intensity is low, working efficiency is high, safety is higher, the container can better adapt to complex terrains, in addition, cooperative operation of multiple persons is not needed, and labor cost is lower.
