Four-port wide-angle scanning phase-mode antenna and its method for joint estimation of direction of arrival and polarization

By designing a four-port wide-angle scanning phase-mode antenna, and utilizing a multi-port rotational symmetry structure and phase difference design, the contradiction between scanning angle and gain roll-off of traditional phased array antennas is resolved. This enables large-angle scanning and polarization control, improves direction finding accuracy and real-time performance, and is suitable for radar target identification and scanning technology.

Abstract

The application provides a four-port wide-angle scanning phase-mode antenna and a wave direction and polarization joint estimation method thereof, which comprises a first dielectric plate, a second dielectric plate, a third dielectric plate, a fourth dielectric plate, a fifth dielectric plate, a sixth dielectric plate, a first connecting piece, a second connecting piece and four feeding terminals; the first dielectric plate is provided with a feeding structure and a ground plate; the second dielectric plate is provided with a feeding structure and a radiator, the feeding structure comprises one feeding monopole antenna, and the radiator comprises a first radiator located at the center of the dielectric plate and a tuning structure located at the edge of the dielectric plate; the structures of the third dielectric plate, the fourth dielectric plate and the fifth dielectric plate are the same as that of the second dielectric plate. The antenna can realize full-space scanning of the upper hemisphere, and the estimation method can realize polarization state estimation of the incoming wave signal.
