A continuous tubing cutting device

Abstract

This invention discloses a coiled tubing cutting device, relating to the field of oilfield well workover technology, and solves the technical problems of low cutter life and easy slip jamming in existing devices, leading to reduced operating efficiency. The invention includes an upper connector, a cylinder, a guide shoe, and a cutting assembly. The upper connector and the guide shoe are connected to both ends of the cylinder, respectively. The cutting assembly is located inside the cylinder and includes a clamping assembly, a push sleeve, multiple cutters, and a release sleeve. The multiple cutters are rotatably connected to the inner wall of the cylinder via connecting shafts and are distributed circumferentially along the cylinder. The clamping assembly includes a sliding sleeve and slips. The release sleeve is movably fitted inside the slips, and the slips are movably fitted inside the sliding sleeve. A limit member connects the sliding sleeve to the cylinder. The push sleeve is provided between the sliding sleeve and the cutters, and the inner wall of the push sleeve slides against the outer wall of the cutter. This invention has the advantages of slip release and long service life.
