Abstract

The method comprises the following steps: respectively inputting an input infrared image to be processed into a first channel and a second channel; performing bilateral filtering on the to-be-processed infrared image in the first channel to generate a base layer image and a detail weighting coefficient matrix; performing high-pass filtering on the to-be-processed infrared image in the second channel to generate a high-pass filtering image; performing median filtering processing on the detail weighting coefficient matrix, and performing detail layer processing on the high-pass filtering image according to a preset detail layer weighting proportion to generate a detail layer image; and carrying out superposition fusion and linear stretching on the base layer image and the detail layer image to generate an enhanced image. Multi-scale hierarchical processing is carried out on an infrared image, enhancement processing is carried out on images of different hierarchies, and the enhancement processing is realized through FPGA hardware, so that the contrast ratio and the detail definition of the infrared image are improved, and the noise influence is reduced.
