Abstract

The invention provides a network device placement method, an electronic device, a storage medium and a program product, relates to the technical field of space management, and is used for reasonably arranging network devices to balance supply and demand. The method comprises the following steps: randomly allocating at least one network device meeting the size information of a cabinet to each cabinet based on the size information of M network devices and the size information of N cabinets to obtain a primary population of a genetic algorithm; each individual in the primary population corresponds to one equipment placement scheme, one equipment placement scheme comprises equipment placement sub-schemes corresponding to N cabinets respectively, and the equipment placement sub-schemes indicate network equipment contained in the cabinets; determining a fitness function of a genetic algorithm according to the performance parameters of the network equipment and the performance parameters of the cabinet; iterating the primary population based on a fitness function by adopting a genetic algorithm until a target population which meets an iteration stopping condition or a preset fitness value condition exists after iteration; and placing each network device in a corresponding cabinet according to the target population.
