Coupling test system and method for optical component in optical module

Abstract

The invention provides a coupling test system and method for an optical component in an optical module. The system comprises a light source module, a carrying module, a feeding module, a position monitoring module, a light beam parameter monitoring module and a control module. The light source module is connected with the optical port tail fiber through the light source connector and outputs test light; the object carrying module comprises an object carrying adjusting mechanism and an object carrying platform, the object carrying platform fixes the coupling element, and the object carrying adjusting mechanism adjusts the posture of the coupling element; the feeding module picks up the optical port tail fiber and adjusts the position and posture of the optical port tail fiber; the position monitoring module monitors the real-time position of the optical port tail fiber; the light beam parameter monitoring module monitors light beam parameters of light beams output by the optical assembly; and the control module controls the feeding module to move the optical port tail fiber to a coupling position and judges whether coupling is in place or not according to the light beam parameters, if yes, the optical port tail fiber and the coupling element are fixed, and if not, coupling is carried out again. According to the invention, the coupling precision and efficiency are effectively improved.
