Microwave oven and control method thereof

Abstract

The invention relates to the technical field of microwave ovens, and particularly provides a microwave oven and a control method of the microwave oven. The microwave oven comprises a chamber, a magnetron, a marker, a camera and a control module. The magnetron is used for generating microwaves to heat food in the chamber; the marker is arranged on the inner surface of the bottom of the cavity; the camera is arranged towards the marker; the control module is in communication connection with the camera and the magnetron, and the control module is configured to prohibit the magnetron from starting if the marker can be recognized from the image shot by the camera. According to the microwave oven, whether food is placed in the microwave oven or not can be judged before the microwave oven is started, so that the empty burning condition of the microwave oven is avoided, and the judgment method is efficient, accurate and high in applicability and cannot be affected by the heat exchange rate of the microwave oven and the food in the cavity.
