Abstract

The present invention provides a digital liquid application apparatus for textiles and related apparatus and methods, the apparatus comprising an ejection system configured to eject a liquid jet at a jet velocity to produce an output flow and to apply a periodic perturbation to the liquid jet at a perturbation frequency; the control system is in communication connection with the liquid supply system of the injection system, the disturbance actuator and the relative movement mechanism, and is configured to receive a control instruction representing the target unit area application amount and determine a control parameter combination; the control parameter combination at least comprises a flow parameter, a disturbance parameter and a relative speed parameter; the control system is configured to set at least one of a flow parameter and a relative velocity parameter based on a target unit area application amount when a disturbance wavelength determined by a ratio of a jet velocity to a disturbance frequency is located inside or outside an optimal fracture window, the application amount per unit area defined by the output flow rate and the relative movement speed is maintained within a target interval of the target application amount per unit area.
