Abstract

The present invention provides a power factor adjustment circuit capable of discharging the charge of a capacitor more quickly while suppressing heat generation of the power factor adjustment circuit when discharging the charge of the capacitor. In a power conversion device, a power factor adjustment circuit includes: a first switching element connected to one side line of a first power line and a positive electrode side line of a second power line; a second switching element connected to one side line of the first power line and a negative electrode side line of the second power line; a third switching element connected to the other side line of the first power line and the positive electrode side line; and a fourth switching element connected to the other side line of the first power line and the negative electrode side line. The capacitor is connected to the positive electrode-side line and the negative electrode-side line of the second power line. The precharge circuit is provided between the power factor adjustment circuit and the capacitor and has a switch and a resistive element connected in parallel with each other.
