Application of molecular marker related to weaning weight in sheep

Abstract

The present application relates to the technical field of genetic breeding, and particularly relates to application of a molecular marker related to weaning weight of sheep, the molecular marker is a nucleotide sequence shown in SEQ ID NO.1, and the nucleotide at the 101bp site is T or C; the application refers to any one of the following (1) and (2): (1) identifying weaning weight of sheep; (2) improving weaning weight of offspring of sheep. The molecular marker screened by the present application and affecting weaning weight of sheep can be used for identifying weaning weight of sheep, and by selecting an individual with CC genotype and taking it as a sire or a dam, weaning weight of offspring can be improved.
