The method comprises: identifying a collision event according to vehicle operation state data based on a hierarchical collision identification strategy constructed based on historical collision operation state data; generating vehicle collision information in response to identifying that a collision event occurs; and performing response processing according to the vehicle collision information. In the above technical solution, by monitoring vehicle operation state data in real time, the collision event can be accurately identified by using the hierarchical collision identification strategy, and reliable vehicle collision information can be generated. By using the vehicle collision information to perform response processing, measures such as notifying rescue and contacting the vehicle owner can be taken quickly, which can effectively reduce the loss and harm caused by the collision accident, protect the safety of the people in the vehicle, and improve the vehicle safety and emergency handling capability.
