Abstract

The invention discloses an electrolyte and a lithium battery containing the same, the electrolyte comprises an organic solvent, a lithium salt and an additive, and the additive comprises a compound as shown in a formula 1. According to the electrolyte, the quaternary phosphorus bis (trifluoromethylsulfonyl) amide compound with the side chain containing alkyl as shown in the formula 1 is adopted as the additive, the additive contains P + cations and TFSA-anions at the same time, the additive can be polymerized on the surface of a positive plate, a stable SEI film is generated, a positive electrode interface is stabilized, and the service life of the positive plate is prolonged. The stability of the battery in high-temperature circulation and high-temperature storage processes is improved, gas production is reduced, and the high-temperature performance of the lithium secondary battery is improved.
