Abstract

This application relates to the field of hybrid submarine cable system management technology, specifically to a method and system for predicting the aging degree of a hybrid submarine cable system based on the negative sequence imbalance of the power system. One phase of the hybrid submarine cable system uses XLPE submarine cable, and the other two phases use oil-filled submarine cable. The method includes: calculating the inherent deviation factor based on the system's length and electrical parameters before aging; acquiring the three-phase voltage data of the system's terminal station and calculating the negative sequence voltage imbalance, further calculating the system's total imbalance factor; calculating the aging deviation factor based on the total imbalance factor and the inherent deviation factor, and predicting the consumed lifespan of the XLPE submarine cable in the hybrid submarine cable system. The performance degradation process of heterogeneous submarine cables exhibits asynchronous behavior, which can induce a significant increase in the three-phase voltage imbalance over time. This application achieves indirect quantification and status assessment of the aging degree of the submarine cable by real-time monitoring of the dynamic response of the voltage imbalance, thereby enabling the prediction of the submarine cable's lifespan.
