A transmission system (2) with decoupling capability for an aircraft propulsion device (1), comprising: a first and a second rotating element; a pinion (6) mounted for rotation about an axis (14); a coupling device (40) for coupling the pinion (6) to a rotating element (3); a helical gear meshing device (42) for coupling the coupling pinion with another rotating element (7); and an actuator (10). The actuator, upon command, adopts: a coupled configuration in which the actuator holds the pinion in a coupled position in which the coupling device engages and the helical gear meshing device engages; and a disengaged configuration allowing an axial force (F1) generated by the helical gear engagement device to cause the pinion to move along its axis to a disengaged position in which the coupling device or the helical gear engagement device is disengaged.
