Proxy publisher for multicast domain name system mDNS service and system and method thereof

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a method (400) and a network device (200) for proxy publishing of an mDNS service (306). The method (400) includes identifying (402) at least one terminal device within the network that does not publish the mDNS service (306). The method (400) further comprises determining (404) at least one service provided by each of the at least one terminal device. At least one service is not published within the network as an mDNS service. The method (400) further includes issuing (406) the at least one service as at least one mDNS service within the network.
