Abstract
The invention is a pump assembly (1) for a cooling system of an operating assembly of a vehicle, extending relative to an axis (X-X) and comprising: i) an impeller set (2) comprising a shaft (25) extending along the axis (X-X) and a vane impeller (20) integrally connected to the shaft; ii) a motor group (3) comprising a stator (31) and a rotor (32) wherein the rotor (32) is engaged with the shaft (25); iii) a containment assembly (4) comprising a wet chamber (40) in which the vane wheel (20) is contained, the containment assembly comprising a pump inlet nozzle (401) positioned on the axis (X-X) and a pump outlet nozzle (402) positioned radially away from the axis (X-X). According to the invention, the housing group (4) comprises:-an upper housing (41) comprising a pump inlet nozzle (401) and a pump outlet nozzle (402), the upper housing comprising a volute (415) shaped to convey incoming cooling liquid from the pump inlet nozzle (401) to the pump outlet nozzle (402); a lower housing (42) in which the motor set (3) is housed, where the lower housing (42) comprises a side wall (422) extending substantially parallel to the axis (X-X) and a bottom wall (423) extending substantially orthogonal to the axis (X-X). Furthermore, the containment group (4) comprises at least one cooling tube (9) comprising a tube inlet nozzle (910) and a tube outlet nozzle (920) positioned close to the pump inlet nozzle (401) such that the cooling liquid flows into the cooling tube (9) when drawn in. The cooling tube (9) extends from a tube inlet nozzle (910) in the flow direction, the cooling tube comprising: a vertical inlet section (912) housed in a side wall (422); a vertical outlet section (922) housed in the side wall (422); and an outlet connection section (93) housed in the upper housing (41) and extending to the tube outlet nozzle (920).
