Abstract

This invention discloses a hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber composite material for cryogenic insulation and its preparation method. This composite material significantly improves its mechanical properties and insulation performance at low temperatures by introducing zirconium-silicon composite-modified hydroxyapatite and boron-nitrogen co-doped mesoporous alumina. The former uses a sol-gel method to construct a zirconium-silicon oxide network on the surface of hydroxyapatite, while the latter uses alkoxides as precursors to obtain a high specific surface area doped mesoporous structure through hydrothermal treatment and calcination. During rubber compounding, functional fillers are first dispersed at a relatively high temperature before adding plasticizers to ensure uniform filler distribution. The resulting composite material exhibits excellent tensile strength, elongation at break, and low thermal conductivity at liquid nitrogen temperature, making it suitable for cryogenic insulation applications such as hydrogen storage and transportation, and aerospace sealing. All raw materials are commercially available chemicals, the process is controllable, and it is easy to industrialize.
