Apparatus, method, and storage medium for transmitting uplink signal in fronthaul interface

Abstract

An apparatus of a radio unit (RU) may include a memory to store instructions, a transceiver, and at least one processor. The instructions, when executed individually or collectively by at least one processor, may cause an apparatus to receive a control plane message including a segment extension from a distributed unit (DU). The segment extension may include transmission timing information for uplink user plane messages. When executed by the at least one processor individually or collectively, the instructions may cause the apparatus to send an uplink user plane message to the DU based on transmission timing information included in the segment extension. The transmission timing information may include identifiers of a plurality of transmission symbols for symbols in which uplink data has been received from the user equipment.
