High speed ffc cable connector

Abstract

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a cable connector and an electronic system. The cable connector includes a housing assembly, a flexible flat cable, and a conductive member, the cable connector including an insulating body, and a conductive layer disposed on a surface of the insulating body; an end portion of the flexible flat cable is held within the housing assembly, a surface of the flexible flat cable is provided with a shielding layer; the conductive member is disposed on a mating end portion of the housing assembly for mating with a mating electrical connector, the conductive member protrudes from a mating surface of the mating end portion for mating with a shielding shell of the mating electrical connector, and the conductive member is electrically connected with the conductive layer. Thus, the insulating body can be processed into a desired complex shape according to design needs. Moreover, the weight of the housing assembly can also be reduced. The conductive layer on the surface of the insulating body can have a good shielding effect.
