High-linearity hybrid differential amplifier and method thereof

Abstract

The invention discloses a high-linearity hybrid differential amplifier and a method thereof. The hybrid differential amplifier generates a differential output signal according to a differential input signal having a base frequency, and includes: a first amplifier configured as an inductance switching converter; and a second amplifier configured as another type of amplifier. The first amplifier and the second amplifier respectively generate a first output signal and a second output signal of the differential output signal according to a first input signal and a second input signal of the differential input signal. One of the first amplifier or the second amplifier also generates a first output signal or a second output signal according to feedback, and therefore the differential output signal is linearly related to the differential input signal; the other quantizes the first or second input signal such that the second output signal includes a step wave associated with the base frequency. The quantization processing includes generating a quantized output signal according to the first or second input signal and at least one threshold level.
