Abstract

Lactucopicrin (LCP) has significant anti-inflammatory and anti-liver injury effects, but the extraction rate is low, and the cost of developing its preparation is high. Therefore, the n-butanol fraction containing LCP was selected as the main preparation. Due to the complex composition of the extract and poor solubility in water, the addition of a cosolvent to increase its solubility and improve bioavailability was considered. In addition, granules were selected as the preparation for ease of production. In recent years, the response surface method has been widely used in the preparation of formulations and prescription optimization. Therefore, this study used the central composite design-response surface method to optimize the preparation process of the n-butanol extract granules (CGEG) of Cichorium glandulosum to enhance the stability of the n-butanol extract and provide a basis for further research and development of subsequent preparations. A rat model of chronic liver injury induced by carbon tetrachloride was established in vivo to further explore the anti-chronic liver injury effect of the n-butanol extract, with a view to laying a solid foundation for the research of new drugs for liver injury.
