A method of relieving residual stresses in aluminum alloy castings

Abstract

The application discloses a method for eliminating residual stress of aluminum alloy castings and relates to the technical field of metal material processing. The method for eliminating residual stress of aluminum alloy castings comprises the following steps: sequentially performing solid solution treatment and quenching cooling treatment on an aluminum alloy casting to be treated to obtain a solid solution quenching product; performing N times of deep cooling treatment on the solid solution quenching product to obtain a deep cooling product, wherein N is greater than or equal to 3, each time of deep cooling treatment comprises sequentially performing a first stage, a second stage and a third stage, the temperature of the first stage is greater than the temperature of the second stage and is greater than or equal to-200 DEG C, the temperature of the third stage is greater than or equal to 60 DEG C, and the cooling rate of each time of cooling to the first stage is greater than or equal to 5 DEG C / min; and performing aging treatment on the deep cooling product to obtain a treated aluminum alloy casting, so as to solve the problem that in the prior art, it is difficult to realize deep elimination and homogenization of residual stress in the aluminum alloy casting while the mechanical properties of the aluminum alloy casting are not affected.
