Abstract

The application discloses a kind of automation verification methods of DSP kernel operation module, belong to microprocessor design technical field, solve the technical problem of low instruction execution throughput caused by waiting delay high when existing microprocessor executes conditional branch instruction due to serial processing discrimination and prefetch operation.This application is configured with two independent instruction buffers, with branch instruction discrimination unit, cache control unit and instruction dispatch unit, to build the processing mechanism of discrimination and prefetch in parallel, during the discrimination of conditional branch instruction, instruction prefetch is carried out to the target jump address synchronously and cached to non-active buffer, then according to the discrimination result, active buffer is dynamically switched and invalid data is emptied, to realize the continuous dispatch execution of instruction.This application significantly reduces the execution delay of conditional branch instruction, improves the program running efficiency of microprocessor, and the hardware modification cost is low, compatibility is strong, and can be widely applied to the design and optimization of general microprocessor and embedded microprocessor.
