Abstract

Disclosed are a secondary battery and a method for manufacturing a secondary battery. The secondary battery includes an electrode assembly; a case body having an open first side surface and accommodating the electrode assembly and an electrolyte solution; and a case cover attached to the first side surface of the case body, the case body can include an injection port on a second side surface different from the first side surface for receiving the electrolyte solution; and a discharge port on a third side surface opposite the second side surface and discharging at least a portion of the electrolyte solution injected into the injection port to the outside.
