Battery monomer fuse protection device with bypass conduction function

Abstract

The application discloses a battery monomer fuse protection device with bypass function and belongs to the technical field of battery protection. The device comprises a current-limiting fuse strip and a bypass conduction mechanism. The current-limiting fuse strip is connected in series between the positive and negative poles of each monomer battery in a battery pack and comprises a battery welding area, a current-limiting fuse area and a bus area. The bypass conduction mechanism is arranged in parallel with the current-limiting fuse strip and comprises a thermal expansion driving member and a conductive bridging member. When a short circuit fault occurs in the monomer battery and causes the current-limiting fuse area to fuse, the heat generated by the fusing drives the thermal expansion driving member to deform, pushes the conductive bridging member into contact with the electrode of the adjacent battery, and forms a current bypass around the faulty battery. The application realizes the rapid and accurate electrical isolation of the faulty monomer battery without cutting off the power supply circuit of the whole battery pack, avoids system shutdown, allows the battery pack to continue to operate at a reduced capacity, and has the function of visualizing the fusing state, thereby being convenient to maintain.
