Ultrathin lithium battery based on embedded devices and method of manufacturing the same

Abstract

This invention discloses an ultra-thin lithium battery based on embedded devices and its manufacturing method. The protection circuit module is embedded inside the outer aluminum-plastic film encapsulation layer of the soft-pack lithium battery body through a conformal embedded process. The FPC cable of the protection circuit module extends through to the outside of the outer aluminum-plastic film encapsulation layer of the soft-pack lithium battery body. Several electronic components are embedded inside the protection substrate. The manufacturing method includes substrate preparation, homogenization and embedding of devices, fabrication of the overall structure of the protection board, embedding of the protection board, conformal encapsulation, and finished product testing. By embedding the protection board of the embedded substrate into the aluminum-plastic film encapsulation layer of the battery and conformally encapsulating and curing it, an integrated encapsulation structure is formed without any protrusions or stress concentration, improving space utilization and fundamentally improving the defects in the prior art. This achieves ultra-thin, high-reliability, and high-integration lithium battery packs, meeting the application requirements of ultra-thin electronic devices.
