Abstract

This invention discloses a method and system for accurately locating vehicles using door locks. The method includes: based on a pre-configured neighbor topology relationship among unit door locks within a residential community, all door locks send registration messages to a preset multicast group address; based on the event that the first unit door lock detects a vehicle's Bluetooth tag, a discovery message is triggered; subsequent unit door locks predict themselves to be the next discoverer based on the neighbor topology and send discovery messages containing a reply to the previous door lock and a prediction of the next door lock, forming a relay-style announcement along the topology; based on the unit door lock that last sent the discovery message in the relay process, a final announcement message containing only the tag ID and its own location information is generated and sent; based on the final announcement message received by the router, the router queries and forwards it to the resident door locks that have subscribed to the tag ID; after parsing the location information, the resident door lock pushes it to the vehicle owner. Using this embodiment of the invention, reliable determination and accurate announcement of the vehicle's stationary location can be achieved, improving the vehicle owner's vehicle locating experience.
