Abstract

The present disclosure provides composite components, methods of manufacturing composite components, aircraft wings, and vehicles. The composite components have a first surface and an opposite second surface, wherein at least a portion of the first surface forms an outer aerodynamic surface of the vehicle. A region of the component has a curvature in two orthogonal directions. The component has a relief that defines a channel in one of the first surface or the second surface and a corresponding ridge in the other of the first surface and the second surface.
