Abstract
This invention proposes a test specimen design method for achieving non-uniform axial and circumferential heating of fuel rods with irregular cross-sections. The method includes calculating the power distribution function of the fuel rod; determining the resistance values of different parts of the fuel rod; calculating the cross-sectional area of the fuel rod; determining the resistivity of the mixed metal powder; and determining the specific composition of the mixed metal powder. Based on the non-uniform power distribution of nuclear reactor fuel rods in both the axial and circumferential directions, the method of this invention provides a power calculation strategy for fuel rod test specimens. By filling the fuel rod with a mixed metal powder of specific components, non-uniform heat distribution in both the axial and circumferential directions is achieved, thus meeting the experimental requirements for non-uniform heating of fuel rod test specimens. The method of this invention has wide applicability and high practical value.
