Abstract

The present invention relates to a cover assembly (2) for a brake caliper (100), the brake caliper (100) comprising a caliper body (104) and at least one brake pad (107, 108), the caliper body being adapted to be arranged to straddle a brake disc (101), the at least one brake pad being directly or indirectly supported by the caliper body (104), each brake pad (107, 108) comprising a corresponding support plate (109, 110) supporting a corresponding friction material element (111, 112); the brake disc (102) being adapted to rotate about a rotation axis (X-X). The rotation axis defines a direction parallel to the axial direction (A-A), the brake disc (101) has a first brake surface (102) and a second brake surface (103) that are axially opposite to each other, the cover assembly (2) defines a radial direction (R-R) perpendicular to the axial direction (A-A) and a circumferential direction (C-C) centered on the rotation axis (X-X) and perpendicular to both the axial direction (A-A) and the radial direction (R-R), wherein the caliper body (104) includes a disc inlet portion (105) and a disc outlet portion that are circumferentially opposite to each other. The cover assembly (2) is configured to connect to the brake caliper (100) in the mouth portion (106), the cover assembly comprising: a first cover or disc outlet cover (5) configured to cover the disc outlet portion (106) at least radially; and a second cover or disc inlet cover (6) configured to cover the disc inlet portion (105) at least radially, the first cover (5) and the second cover (6) being opposite to each other in the circumferential direction; the cover assembly comprising: The brake caliper cover (4) includes a first cover (5) and a second cover (6) connected to each other; a first fixing device (17) configured to connect the brake caliper cover (4) to the brake caliper (100) in at least one position located radially outside the brake caliper; and a second fixing device (18) configured to connect the cover (4) to the brake caliper (100) in at least one position located radially inside the brake caliper, thereby preventing the cover (4) from rotating relative to the first fixing device (17).
