A W-band low phase noise reference source

Abstract

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a W-band low phase noise reference frequency source. In a specific embodiment, the reference frequency source comprises an amplified power division unit, a mixing filter unit, and a frequency multiplication and amplification unit. The amplified power division unit is configured to receive an external reference signal, amplify and divide the power of the reference signal, and output multiple reference clock signals. The mixing filter unit is configured to receive the multiple reference clock signals, generate two L-band signals with variable frequencies based on at least two of the reference clock signals, generate an X-band signal based on at least one of the reference clock signals, mix and filter the X-band signal with the two L-band signals respectively, and output two X-band signals with variable frequencies. The frequency multiplication and amplification unit is configured to receive the two X-band signals with variable frequencies, sequentially perform switching selection, frequency multiplication, filtering, and amplification, and output a W-band low phase noise signal. The embodiment can form a reference frequency signal with low phase noise and fast agility.
