Abstract

This invention discloses a method for repairing failed graphite based on biomass hydrothermal-high-temperature carbonization coating. By treating failed graphite coated with amorphous carbon at high temperatures, effective repair of structural defects and reduction of impurity content are achieved. While maintaining the stability of the graphite structure, interfacial carbon atom reconstruction is induced, effectively filling interlayer defects, edge gaps, and microcracks, thus repairing structural defects in the failed graphite material. Simultaneously, under high-temperature conditions, the amorphous carbon adsorbs, coats, and physically isolates residual metallic impurities in the failed graphite, promoting impurity migration and separation under variable temperature gradient control, thereby achieving impurity removal. This method can achieve synergistic improvement in defect repair and structural integrity while maintaining the stability of the main graphite structure, resulting in a regenerated graphite with an overall structural state comparable to commercial graphite materials.
