A smoke reduction demonstration type intermediate cooler for improving cooling performance and a biogas generator including the same

By installing a temperature sensor and a mixing regulator in the intercooler, combined with a hydrogen supply system, the problems of difficult intake air temperature regulation and smoke control in biogas generators have been solved. This has enabled rapid and precise intake air temperature regulation and smoke reduction, improving cooling performance and engine start-up cleanliness.

Abstract

This invention relates to a smoke-reducing experimental intercooler that reduces smoke and improves the cooling performance of the intake air by adjusting the intake air temperature, and a biogas generator including the same. The intercooler housing includes: an exhaust temperature sensor disposed at the intake air outlet through which the intake air exits via a heat exchanger, for measuring the temperature of the intake air after heat exchange; a temperature regulating pipe section that, when the intake air temperature measured by the exhaust temperature sensor is lower than a preset intake air temperature, supplies intake air bypassing the heat exchanger to increase the temperature by mixing the cooled intake air flowing through the heat exchanger with the uncooled intake air that does not flow through the heat exchanger; a mixing regulator that, as it slides inside the intercooler housing toward the intake direction, regulates the supply amount of uncooled intake air supplied to the interior of the intercooler housing via the temperature regulating pipe section; and an intercooler control unit that controls the amount of uncooled intake air by means of the mixing regulator based on the intake air temperature measured by the exhaust temperature sensor.
