A porous aerogel and a method of making and using the same

Abstract

This invention belongs to the field of adsorption materials technology, and specifically relates to a porous aerogel, its preparation method, and its applications. The porous aerogel of this invention comprises boron nitride aerogel and silver nanoparticles attached to the surface of the boron nitride aerogel. By modifying the surface of the silver nanoparticles and rationally limiting the amounts of deionized water and tert-butanol during the preparation process, this invention can obtain a large-size, high-specific-surface-area three-dimensional porous aerogel, significantly improving its adsorption capacity for iodine vapor.
