Abstract

This invention discloses a planar matte powder coating composition with weather resistance and its coating, comprising a raw material curing combination undergoing a cross-linking curing reaction. The planar matte powder coating composition does not contain texture-reducing agents and includes aluminum hydroxide. The raw material curing combination comprises a first polyester resin, a second polyester resin, and a curing agent. The acid value of the first polyester resin is not less than 70 mg KOH / g, the acid value of the second polyester resin is not greater than 30 mg KOH / g, and the curing agent includes hydroxyalkylamide. The cured coating obtained by spraying and curing according to this invention has excellent weather resistance while also possessing a stable and good planar matte effect (the gloss of the cured coating is less than 10 GU; and its PCI leveling grade is not less than 6). It does not require the addition of large amounts of matting wax for matting, nor does it require multiple extrusion processes. The preparation process is simple and very suitable for large-scale industrial production applications.
