Raw material composition for adhesives with low free isocyanate monomer content, adhesives and methods of making and using the same

Abstract

This invention provides a raw material composition, an adhesive, a preparation method, and applications for adhesives with low free isocyanate monomer content. The raw material composition for the adhesive with low free isocyanate monomer content includes a polyester polyol, a polyether polyol, and a diisocyanate: the polyester polyol is selected from at least one polyester polyol polymerized from raw materials including diacids and diols; wherein the diacid comprises linear C4-C atoms with an even number of carbon atoms. 12 Dicarboxylic acids and aromatic dicarboxylic acids; the diols include linear C2-C6 diols and branched diols. Experimental results of this invention show that the single-component solvent-free adhesive of this invention forms strong initial tack at room temperature, exhibits good leveling properties at 75-90℃, and can meet the application requirements of laminating machines at speeds of 180-280 m / min. It is suitable for laminating applications on paper / plastic and paper / aluminum or aluminized films, while also providing good light transmittance in plastic / plastic composite applications at window openings, reducing NCO usage and lowering costs.
