Application methods and related equipment of dual-beam dual-energy CBCT in proton therapy equipment

Abstract

This invention provides a method and related equipment for applying co-source dual-beam dual-energy CBCT in proton therapy equipment. The method includes: acquiring dual-energy data using a single-source high-voltage rapid kV switching system; generating CBCT images based on the dual-energy data; registering the CBCT images and CT images to correct target area data, wherein the CT images and target area data are obtained from CT scans; and adjusting the control parameters of the proton therapy equipment based on the corrected target area data. This invention integrates a co-source dual-beam dual-energy data acquisition system into the proton therapy equipment. By acquiring dual-energy data to generate CBCT images, and then correcting the target area data based on the CBCT images and CT images, the accuracy of target area localization is improved, thereby enhancing the safety and effectiveness of proton therapy, while reducing system complexity and cost.
