A port queue cache allocation method, device, equipment and storage medium

Abstract

This application discloses a port queue cache allocation method, apparatus, device, and storage medium, relating to the field of computer network communication. The method includes: dividing the total hardware cache value into a dedicated cache pool and a shared cache pool corresponding to each port queue according to a preset ratio; collecting real-time parameters of all port queues through software polling; obtaining the cache utilization rate corresponding to each port queue based on the real-time parameters; and when the cache utilization rate of any port queue is ≤ the Nth-level threshold and greater than the (N-1)th-level threshold, allocating the (N-1)th-level elastic cache quota in the shared cache pool to the dedicated cache pool of that port queue. By using the elastic cache quota corresponding to the Nth-level threshold, different cache expansion strategies can be matched to the port queue cache occupancy level, which can cope with different levels of network burst traffic, thereby reducing the packet loss rate caused by burst traffic.
