Improved needle guard for a needle used in insulin injection

Abstract

The application discloses an improved anti-needle-sticking insulin injection needle and relates to the technical field of medical devices. The needle comprises a base, a needle body, a needle cap and a safety sheath hinged to the base. The safety sheath can pivot relative to the base and switch between an avoiding position and a protection position. When in the avoiding position, the needle cap can be avoided to be detached, and when in the protection position, the needle body is covered and locked through a clamping locking structure. The safety sheath is of a semi-open structure, internally provided with a containing groove and an elastic limiting piece, and provided at an end with a transverse shielding part to cover the needle tip. The surface of the sheath is provided with an arc-shaped notch convenient for one-handed pinching and pivoting. The application realizes instant closure and protection of the needle after injection through an integrated pivoting sheath structure, does not need to manually back on the needle cap or accurately dock, simplifies the operation process, can avoid the safety window period and reduce the risk of needle stick injury, is reliable in locking and not prone to loosening, and is suitable for the use requirements of safe injection and disposal of non-professional personnel in high frequency, clinical and home use.
