Abstract

The application discloses a positioning device and positioning method for sheet metal bending, and relates to the technical field of metal processing. The positioning device is movably connected to a mounting seat. The mounting seat is provided with a through hole. A pressing pipe is arranged in the through hole and is movable along the axial direction of the through hole. A mounting rod is arranged in the inner cavity of the mounting seat and is fixedly connected with the pressing pipe. The mounting rod is provided with a mounting block movably connected with the inner wall of the mounting seat and a positioning frame rotatably connected with the end face of the mounting block away from the mounting block. The inner cavity of the positioning frame is provided with a locking assembly for abutting against a plate. A jacking rod is fixedly connected with the mounting rod, and the end face of the jacking rod close to the positioning frame is provided with a clamping groove. A jacking block is arranged in the clamping groove and is slidable along the clamping groove. The jacking block is abutted against the end face of the positioning frame close to the jacking rod. The rotation axis of the positioning frame is located on the extension line of the sliding direction of the jacking block. The application has a reasonable design structure, can provide quick positioning for plates with irregular thickness and edges, and can provide support for the plates during sheet metal bending.
