The method comprises the following steps: collecting local discharge signals, temperature data and power frequency electrical quantities in the ring network box and transmitting them to a data center; screening out real local discharge signals from mixed pulse signals based on the time difference of acoustic-electric signals; determining local discharge abnormal confidence, temperature abnormal confidence and electrical quantity abnormal confidence respectively, and weighting and fusing the local discharge abnormal confidence, the temperature abnormal confidence and the electrical quantity abnormal confidence to obtain insulation deterioration fault confidence; determining the working state of the ring network box line according to the insulation deterioration fault confidence; dividing the corresponding fault early warning level for the line with early insulation deterioration fault working state, and matching the corresponding operation and maintenance control strategy based on the working state. The present application can improve the accuracy of fault line detection of the ring network box.
