1. A saliva-permeable pouch comprising a moist, tobacco-free composition for oral use, said composition comprising: i) Carrier materials, including plant-based fibers, such as microcrystalline cellulose (MCC); ii) pH adjusters, such as sodium carbonate; and iii) Arecoline, The composition contains arecoline at about 0.05% to about 30% by weight, for example about 3% to about 15% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition.
