Abstract

[0001] This invention relates to compositions containing bioactive ingredients that kill harmful organisms, and to methods of using these compositions in the agricultural field.

[0002] WO 2011067272 disclosed that certain isoxazoline compounds have insecticidal activity.

[0003] The present invention provides a method for combating and / or controlling pests selected from the family Noctuidae, the method comprising applying a pest-killing composition to the pest, the site of the pest, a plant susceptible to the pest, or plant propagation material susceptible to the pest, the pest-killing composition comprising isoxazolidinamide as active ingredient A and bromfenac as active ingredient B.

[0004] It has now been unexpectedly discovered that the pest-killing composition, or in other words, the mixture of active ingredients according to the invention, achieves a synergistic effect in treating pests selected from the Noctuidae family, preferably from the genus Spodoptera (e.g., more preferably Spodoptera littoralis or Spodoptera frugiperda). The pest-killing composition achieves a high degree of pest control, particularly in a short period of time.
