Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] This invention relates to an automated vertical box warehouse, i.e., an automated vertical warehouse, in which materials to be stored are placed in dedicated boxes, which are stored and processed within the warehouse. Background Technology
[0002] Automated box warehouses typically consist of two racks, each with multiple storage shelves that overlap and are each adapted to support a row of boxes.
[0003] A lifting platform is positioned between these shelves; the lifting platform moves vertically and can stop at a height corresponding to each storage shelf.
[0004] Two processing systems are typically associated with the lifting platform, wherein the first processing system enables the boxes to be transferred between the storage shelves of the rack and the lifting platform, and the second processing system enables the boxes to be moved on the lifting platform in the longitudinal direction (i.e., parallel to the storage shelves).
[0005] In known schemes, the second processing system typically includes multiple motorized rollers that are sequentially installed along the longitudinal extension of the lifting platform, thereby defining an overall roller conveyor.
[0006] On the other hand, the first processing system typically includes multiple extendable forks, each with fork teeth parallel to and alternating with two consecutive rollers of the roller conveyor.
[0007] Compared to the rollers of a roller conveyor, these extendable forks have vertical lifting motion and can also operate horizontally between a retractable configuration and two opposing extendable configurations. In the retracted configuration, they are fully accommodated above the lifting platform, while in the extendable configuration, they project laterally from the lifting platform into the rack.
[0008] All of these obviously involve a large number of components and actuation systems, making the lifting platform a very complex device in terms of structure. It is time-consuming and labor-intensive to build, control and maintain, and therefore quite expensive. Summary of the Invention
[0009] Based on the above, the purpose of this invention is to provide a vertical box warehouse that can overcome the above-mentioned shortcomings of the prior art, that is, to achieve a simpler, more reasonable and more cost-effective construction scheme than the currently known solutions.
[0010] These and other objectives are achieved by means of the features of the invention set forth in the independent claims. The dependent claims summarize preferred and / or particularly advantageous aspects of the invention, but these aspects are not strictly required for its implementation. The independent claims and each dependent claim are considered an integral part of this specification.
[0011] Specifically, the embodiment provides an automated vertical box warehouse, including:
[0012] - At least one shelf having multiple storage shelves that are elongated in shape and arranged parallel to and overlapping each other, each storage shelf being adapted to provide a horizontal support plane for one or more boxes arranged in rows along the length of the storage shelf.
[0013] - A lifting platform, which is positioned next to the shelving and can move vertically relative to the shelving itself.
[0014] - An actuation system for a lifting platform, the actuation system being adapted to move the lifting platform vertically.
[0015] - A slender service shelf, supported by a lifting platform, oriented as a storage shelf parallel to the rack, and adapted to provide a horizontal support plane for one or more boxes arranged in rows along the length of the service shelf itself.
[0016] - A box handling device, which is installed on a lifting platform.
[0017] The box handling device includes:
[0018] - A sliding bracket, which is mounted on a lifting platform and slides on the platform in a sliding direction that is horizontal and parallel to the length of the service shelf.
[0019] - An actuation system for the sliding bracket, adapted to move the sliding bracket relative to the lifting platform in the sliding direction.
[0020] - A lifting device, mounted on the sliding bracket, to move a loading plane vertically between a lowered position and a raised position, wherein in the lowered position the loading plane is at a lower height than the support plane defined by the service shelf, and in the raised position the loading plane is at a higher height than the support plane defined by the service shelf.
[0021] - An actuation system for a loading plane, adapted to move the loading plane on a lifting device between a central position and at least one lateral position along a translational direction, the translational direction being horizontal and orthogonal to the sliding direction of the sliding bracket, wherein in the central position the loading plane is vertically aligned with a service shelf, and in the at least one lateral position the loading plane is vertically aligned with a storage shelf of the rack.
[0022] With this solution, it is advantageous to use only one processing device (i.e., a single sliding bracket with relative lifting equipment and relative loading plane) to load boxes onto and unload them from the lifting platform, and to move the boxes longitudinally on the lifting platform if necessary, thus making the method simpler, more reasonable and cheaper than the prior art.
[0023] One aspect of the invention provides that the warehouse may include at least one conveyor table arranged next to and accessible from the outside of a lifting platform, the conveyor table being adapted to accommodate service shelves loaded with boxes, and the lifting platform may be provided with a dragging system designed to transfer service shelves from the lifting platform to the conveyor table and vice versa by sliding the service shelves in a direction parallel to the translational direction of the loading plane of the processing device.
[0024] With this solution, boxes that are properly prepared on the lifting platform can be advantageously released into the conveyor in one go, making them available to users who request them through a single, quick operation.
[0025] Similarly, in a single rapid operation, all boxes can be picked up from the conveyor and reloaded onto the lifting platform to return to the shelf.
[0026] However, it is not excluded that in some embodiments, releasing boxes onto the conveyor and picking up boxes from the conveyor can be performed by the same processing device used to pick up and release boxes from the storage shelves of the rack.
[0027] In such a case, the conveyor may not necessarily be able to receive the entire service shelf loaded with boxes, but may be adapted to accommodate only one or more boxes; in addition, the service shelf may be fixedly mounted on the lifting platform, that is, the service shelf may be an integral part of the lifting platform and may not be functionally separated from the lifting platform under any circumstances.
[0028] Another aspect of the invention provides that each storage shelf can be retractably housed in the shelf, and the lifting platform actuation system can be designed to transfer each storage shelf from the shelf to the lifting platform and vice versa by sliding each storage shelf in a direction parallel to the loading plane of the processing device, and preferably also between the lifting platform and the conveyor and vice versa.
[0029] According to different aspects of the invention, the lifting platform may be positioned between two of the aforementioned shelves, and the actuation system of the loading plane may be adapted to move the loading plane in a translational direction between the central position and two lateral positions, wherein the loading plane is vertically aligned with the storage shelves of one shelf and the other shelf, respectively.
[0030] With this solution, a single lifting platform can efficiently pick up and place boxes from two shelves, significantly increasing warehouse capacity.
[0031] In this context, a preferred but not essential aspect of the invention provides that the warehouse may include at least two conveyor belts, wherein a first conveyor belt is wholly or at least partially formed in one shelf and a second conveyor belt is wholly or at least partially formed in another shelf.
[0032] Therefore, the warehouse can be used by users on both sides. Attached Figure Description

[0054] The above figure shows a vertical automated warehouse 100 for storing boxes CP, which are containers made of plastic or any other material capable of holding general materials.
[0055] exist Figures 1 to 5 In the current inventory, only one CP is visible, but of course, Warehouse 100 is expected to include a much larger number of CPs.
[0056] Each box CP preferably has a shape similar to a rectangular parallelepiped, i.e., a parallelepiped with a rectangular bottom surface, four side surfaces (all rectangular), and a top surface (also rectangular). The top surface may have an opening AP to allow the introduction and removal of the material to be contained. An openable and / or removable lid may be associated with this opening (see...). Figure 6-8 ).
[0057] Each box CP used in warehouse 100 may also have a base BP that protrudes concentrically from the lower surface and is smaller in size than the lower surface.
[0058] Specifically, the base BP can have approximately the same shape and size as the opening AP defined at the upper surface, so that the two boxes CP can be stably stacked together by simply inserting the base CP of one box into and fitting it into the opening AP of the other box.
[0059] In terms of dimensions, each box CP is typically characterized by a height H and two side dimensions (length L and width W, respectively). The height H can be defined as the distance between the bottom and top surfaces, and the two side dimensions can be defined as the distance between two pairs of opposite side surfaces.
[0060] Similarly, the base BP (if present) can also be characterized by height H', length L', and width W', each of which can be defined as a dimension of the base BP parallel to the box CP dimension.
[0061] Unless there are minor differences due to manufacturing tolerances or other irrelevant factors, the boxes CP used in warehouse 100 may be identical to each other in shape and size, except that their height H may vary, for example, but not limited to, between about 100 mm, about 200 mm and 400 mm.
[0062] Returning to warehouse 100, warehouse 100 may include two shelves 105, which are separated by an operating space 110 between them.
[0063] Each of these shelves 105 may include a structure having a generally rectangular parallelepiped shape, the structure having four vertical sides, the two smaller sidewalls being referred to as shoulders, and the two larger sidewalls being referred to as the front and back, respectively.
[0064] The structure of each shelf 105 may be defined by vertical uprights and multiple beams (horizontal and / or diagonal, such as beams and / or supports), the vertical uprights being adapted to define the vertical corners of a parallelepiped, the multiple beams being arranged along the shoulders and back and adapted to connect the uprights.
[0065] The front of each shelf 105 may be open and facing the operating space 110, for example, thus oriented parallel to and facing the front of another shelf 105.
[0066] Each shelf 105 is adapted to accommodate a plurality of storage shelves 115, which are preferably identical to each other.
[0067] exist Figures 1 to 5 Only a few storage shelves 115 are shown, and only in one of the two shelves 105, but of course, the storage shelves 115 are preferably arranged in both shelves 105 (see, for example, [reference]). Figures 38 to 40 And the number may be more than shown.
[0068] These storage shelves 115 have an elongated shape, meaning that their longitudinal dimension (or length) is greater than their transverse dimension (or width).
[0069] In each shelf 105, the storage shelves 115 overlap and are parallel to each other, that is, the orientation of the longitudinal dimension of each storage shelf 115 is parallel to the longitudinal dimension of all other storage shelves 115 in the same shelf 105.
[0070] Furthermore, the storage shelves 115 of each shelf 105 are preferably oriented such that their longitudinal dimensions are parallel to the back and front of the shelf 105 itself, while their transverse dimensions are parallel to the shoulder.
[0071] Each storage shelf 115 is adapted to provide a horizontal support plane for one or more boxes CP arranged sequentially (in rows) along the length of the storage shelf 115 itself.
[0072] Specifically (see) Figure 9-11 Each storage shelf 115 may have a comb-like shape, which includes a plurality of forks 120 that are laterally oriented and longitudinally spaced apart from each other, preferably equidistant from each other.
[0073] For example, the fork 120 of each storage shelf 115 can be attached to a longitudinally oriented support post 125, from which the support post 125 cantilever laterally.
[0074] The box CP can rest directly against the upper surface of the fork 120, which are preferably coplanar to define the aforementioned horizontal support plane.
[0075] More precisely, the gap separating each pair of consecutive fork teeth 120 can be the location or housing of a single box CP.
[0076] In each of these positions or accommodating seats, the box CP can be oriented longitudinally, i.e., its length L is parallel to the fork 120.
[0077] Therefore, the distance separating each pair of consecutive forks 120 is preferably less than the width W of the box CP to be accommodated, so that the lower surface of the latter can rest against the upper surface of the forks 120 as described above.
[0078] However, the distance separating each pair of consecutive forks 120 is preferably greater than or equal to the width W' of the base BP (if present), so that the base BP remains substantially wedged between the two forks 120, thereby improving the stability of the box CP.
[0079] To prevent the box CP from being accidentally pulled out while sliding along the fork 120, a protruding barrier 130 may be provided at the free end of the fork 120, which is adapted to block the box CP and / or the corresponding base BP.
[0080] Finally, each storage shelf 115 may include two side support cross braces 135, which are oriented parallel to the fork 120 and orthogonal to the support column 125.
[0081] These side support cross braces 135 are attached to the ends of the support columns 125, thereby defining a planar frame together with the support columns, the planar frame having a generally “C”-shaped square shape to accommodate all the forks 120 of the storage shelf 115.
[0082] In each shelf 105, the support pillars 125 can be arranged horizontally, parallel and adjacent to the back, so that the fork teeth 120 protrude toward the front of the shelf 105, i.e. toward the operating space 110.
[0083] Accordingly, each side support cross brace 135 can be arranged horizontally, parallel to and adjacent to the corresponding shoulder of the corresponding shelf 105.
[0084] To support the storage box 115, each shoulder of the shelf 105 may include multiple overlapping horizontal supports on its inner sidewall (i.e. the side facing the opposite shoulder), with each horizontal support arranged coplanarly with the corresponding horizontal support of the opposite shoulder.
[0085] Therefore, each pair of coplanar protruding shelves of each shelf 105 can support the side support cross braces 135 of the storage shelf 115.
[0086] The space between each pair of shelves and the shelf directly above it defines a receiving compartment in which the storage shelf 115 can be accommodated.
[0087] In some embodiments, the storage shelf 115 may be fixedly installed in the shelf 105.
[0088] However, preferably, the storage shelf 115 is pull-out, meaning that the storage shelf 115 can be pulled out from the structure of the corresponding shelf 105 by means of the translational movement of the storage shelf 115 in a direction parallel to its forks 120, for example, through the front sidewall, and thus into the operating space 110.
[0089] Each storage shelf 115 of warehouse 100 can support a box CP, which preferably all have the same height H, but the height H can be different from the height H of the box CP placed on another storage shelf 115, for example as... Figure 38 and Figure 39 As shown.
[0090] In fact, since the storage shelf 115 can be pulled out and repositioned, the storage shelf 115 can support boxes CP of different heights by simply changing the vertical distance between it and the storage shelf 115 directly above it.
[0091] The possibility of removing and repositioning storage shelves 115 also allows for changes in their total number within the shelves 105, thus giving warehouse 100 a high degree of flexibility in its use, as users will be able to reconfigure the warehouse according to their specific needs, such as using the warehouse for use with boxes CP of different heights than initially planned, and / or allowing for optimized use of available space while always maintaining high storage density.
[0092] In addition to the storage shelves 115 described above, warehouse 100 may also include one or more generally conventional type storage trays 500. Figure 1-4 and Figures 38-40 Only one of them is shown in each of the images.
[0093] Each of these storage trays 500 is not intended to support the box CP, but is intended to directly hold materials and / or objects, and can be retractably housed in one of the shelves 105, for example, in one of the aforementioned housing compartments.
[0094] Examples of these storage trays 500 are described and can be seen in more detail, for example, in Italian Patent No. 102020000018886 of the same applicant.
[0095] Therefore, it is sufficient to point out that, in general, the storage tray 500 is shaped as a generally flat and open-top tray, which may be defined by a series of side walls, and the tray may have a rectangular planar shape, for example having dimensions similar to those of the storage shelf 115.
[0096] The lifting platform 140 is positioned next to the two shelves 105, in front of and adjacent to their front sidewalls, and is housed within the operating space 110.
[0097] The lifting platform 140 may be defined by a planar frame and may have a generally elongated shape, such as a rectangle, with its maximum dimension (length) oriented parallel to the front of the shelf 105.
[0098] The length of the lifting platform 140 can be the same as or similar to the length of the front of the shelf 105.
[0099] The planar frame defining the lifting platform 140 may include two supports 145 (see...) Figure 12-14 The platform 145 includes two cross braces 150, which are parallel to each other, coplanar and oriented along the length of the lifting platform 140. The two cross braces 150 are parallel to each other, coplanar, orthogonal to the support 145 and firmly attached to the opposite ends of the support 145.
[0100] The lifting platform 140 can be vertically moved relative to the shelf 105 between a lowered position and a raised position, thereby reaching, for example, multiple heights corresponding to the individual storage shelves 115.
[0101] For this purpose, the lifting platform 140 may be associated with a suitable guide member, which may include, for example, a plurality of vertically oriented guide rails, wherein a first pair of guide rails 155 are arranged in the operating space 110 and substantially coplanar with one shoulder of the shelf 105, and a second pair of guide rails 160 are arranged in the operating space 110 and substantially coplanar with the opposite shoulder.
[0102] The guide member may also include a corresponding skid 165 (usually equipped with rollers) attached to the end of the lifting platform 140, for example, attached to each cross brace 150, and slidably connected to the aforementioned guide rails 155 and 160.
[0103] The lifting platform 140 is then associated with an actuation system adapted to cause the aforementioned vertical translation between the lowered and raised positions, and can stop at a plurality of intermediate heights corresponding to, for example, the placement height of the storage shelf 115.
[0104] The actuation system may include at least one motor 170 and a transmission system, the motor 170 being, for example, an electric motor, which is mounted in a fixed position relative to the shelf 105, preferably a single motor, and the transmission system being adapted to convert the rotation of the motor 170 into appropriate translation of the lifting platform 140 in the vertical direction.
[0105] The transmission system may include, for example, two flexible transmission members 175 (e.g., belts), each of which may be positioned at a corresponding pair of guide rails 155 and 160 and wound in a closed loop around at least two return pulleys, one of which is connected to a motor 170.
[0106] The lifting platform 140 can be anchored / attached to the vertical section of each of the flexible transmission members 175, such that the rotation of the motor 170 causes the flexible transmission member 175 to slide, which in turn causes the lifting platform 140 anchored thereto to move vertically.
[0107] The lifting platform 140 is suitable for supporting and carrying the service shelf 180.
[0108] The service shelf 180 has an elongated shape, meaning that its longitudinal dimension (or length) is greater than its transverse dimension (or width).
[0109] On the lifting platform 140, the service shelf 180 is arranged horizontally and oriented parallel to the storage shelf 115 located in the rack 105, that is, the longitudinal dimension of the service shelf 180 is parallel to the longitudinal dimension of the aforementioned storage shelf 115.
[0110] The service shelf 180 is adapted to provide a horizontal support plane for one or more boxes CP arranged sequentially (in rows) along the length of the service shelf 180.
[0111] Specifically, the service shelf 180 can receive a number of boxes CP equal to the number of boxes that can be accommodated on each storage shelf 115.
[0112] Service shelf 180 may have a frame shape (see Figures 17-19 It includes at least two parallel and opposite struts 185 and 190 and at least two side support cross braces 195, the struts 185 and 190 being longitudinally oriented, and the at least two side support cross braces 195 being perpendicular to the orientation of the struts 185 and 190 and adapted to connect the ends of the struts.
[0113] Therefore, the service shelf 180 defines a generally empty opening or central space 200.
[0114] The central space 200 can be divided into multiple locations or accommodating seats for a single box CP.
[0115] Each of these positions or accommodating seats may be defined by four supports arranged generally at the vertices of a rectangle, with two supports 205 protruding from the support column 185 and two supports 210 protruding from the other support column 190.
[0116] Specifically, each bracket 205 and 210 protrudes from the corresponding pillars 185 and 190 and extends toward the opposite pillar into the central space 200, but only into a limited (relatively small) segment, so that the central space 200 remains uninterrupted in the longitudinal direction.
[0117] The lower surface of the box CP rests against the upper surfaces of these supports 205 and 210, which therefore generally define the aforementioned horizontal support plane.
[0118] Specifically, in each of these locations or accommodating seats, the box CP can be oriented in the lateral direction such that its length L is perpendicular to the length of the service shelf 180, thus maintaining the same orientation of the box CP on the storage shelf 115 of the shelf 105.
[0119] Therefore, the distance between each bracket 205 and the opposite bracket 210 is less than the length L of the box CP to be contained, and the distance between each pair of consecutive brackets 205 (or 210) is less than the width W.
[0120] However, preferably, the distance between each pair of consecutive supports 205 (or 210) is greater than the width W' of the base BP (if present), so that the base BP is substantially kept between the four supports 205 and 210 wedged into the corresponding seats, thereby improving the stability of the box CP on the service shelf 180.
[0121] To further improve stability, it is also preferable that the distance between supports 185 and 190 is greater than (preferably slightly greater than) the length L of the box CP, and that the upper surfaces of supports 205 and 210 are at a lower height than the upper surfaces of supports 185 and 190, so that the box CP is also substantially wedged between them in the longitudinal direction.
[0122] In some embodiments, the service shelf 180 may be fixedly mounted on the lifting platform 140, that is, the service shelf 180 may be an integral part of the lifting platform 140 and may not be functionally separable from the lifting platform under any circumstances.
[0123] However, in the preferred embodiment shown herein, the service shelf 180 is a separate element that can be loaded and unloaded from the lifting platform 140.
[0124] Specifically, the service shelf 180 can be transferred from the lifting platform 140 to the conveyor 215 along with the boxes CP placed on it, and vice versa.
[0125] like Figure 1As shown, the conveyor 215 is arranged next to the lifting platform 140 in the lateral / transverse direction and is accessible from outside the warehouse 100, i.e. from outside the shelf 105 and the operating space 110, for example to allow users of the warehouse 100 to take away boxes CP or the materials contained therein, or conversely to load new boxes CP or fill boxes CP with materials to be stored.
[0126] The conveyor 215 may be defined by a compartment that may be wholly or at least partially formed in the structure of one of the two shelves 105, for example by including a portion of the internal volume of the shelf 105 structure that is vertically aligned with the associated storage shelf 115.
[0127] The compartment can be positioned at the base of the shelf 105 or at any other height, and can open toward the operating space 110, for example via the front side wall of the shelf 105 (in which the compartment is at least partially formed), and can also open toward the outside from the opposite side, for example via the back of the shelf 105 itself, however, the compartment can be selectively closed by louvers, doors or any other openable closing device.
[0128] Warehouse 100 may include multiple conveyor belts 215, which may be formed at different heights in the same shelf 105 and / or in different shelves 105.
[0129] Specifically, a particularly useful embodiment provides a warehouse 100 that may include at least two conveyor belts 215 (see...). Figures 38-40 For example, they are formed at substantially the same height, but each conveyor is in one of the two shelves 105 respectively, so that the warehouse 100 can be used by users on both sides.
[0130] It should also be noted that the conveyor 215 shown in the accompanying drawings is intended as a non-limiting embodiment and is interchangeable with each other in any case.
[0131] For example, Figure 1 The conveyor 215 shown is a so-called "internal table," meaning it is entirely integrated into the structure of the shelf 115. Figures 38-40 The conveyor 225 shown is a so-called "external platform", which is partially formed in the structure of the shelf 115 and partially formed in the outwardly projecting structure.
[0132] However, various types of conveyors exist that can replace and / or be added to those shown herein in connection with warehouse 100. Some of these conveyors can be used for manual picking by operators, while others can be used in conjunction with automated picking systems or conveyors (see, for example...). Figure 40 ).
[0133] In any case, in order to facilitate the transfer of the service shelf 180 between each conveyor 215 and the lifting platform 140, the lifting platform is preferably provided with a dragging system designed to engage the service shelf 180 to allow it to slide / translate laterally, i.e., to move out of and into the lifting platform 140 in a direction parallel to the lateral dimension of the service shelf 180 itself.
[0134] The towing system may include two flexible transmission elements 220, such as two chains, positioned at opposite longitudinal ends of the lifting platform 140.
[0135] One of these flexible transmission components 220 is in Figure 16 As can be seen, another vertically symmetrical plane is a perfect mirror image of the vertical plane that passes through the center line of the lifting platform 140 and is perpendicular to its length.
[0136] These flexible transmission components 220 are each wound into a closed loop around a corresponding plurality of pulleys and are driven by a motor 225 (e.g., an electric motor), preferably by the same motor, which is mounted at a fixed position on the lifting platform 140 and connected to one of the pulleys.
[0137] Each flexible transmission component 220 can carry at least one drag claw 230, or more preferably, a pair of drag claws 230.
[0138] The drag claw 230 associated with each flexible actuation element 220 is adapted to engage with a corresponding hook 235 fixed to the service shelf 180, for example, with a hook 235 fixed to a side support cross brace 195 of the service shelf 180 adjacent to the drag claw 230 (see also...). Figure 28 ).
[0139] Therefore, by actuating the two flexible transmission components 220 in a certain direction, the drag claw 230 connected to the hook 235 of the service shelf 180 located on the lifting platform 140 can move the hook 235 in the direction that drags the service shelf 180 toward the outside of the lifting platform 140, for example by translating it into the conveyor 215.
[0140] Of course, depending on the sliding direction of the flexible transmission component 220, the service shelf 180 can be dragged to one side or the other side of the lifting platform 140.
[0141] Similarly, when the lifting platform 140 is empty, by actuating the two flexible transmission components 220, the drag claw 230 can engage with the hook 235 of the service shelf 180 (e.g., in the conveyor 215) located outside the lifting platform 140, and then move the hook 235 in the direction that drags the service shelf 180 onto the platform.
[0142] With the help of the aforementioned drag system, the service shelf 180 can be moved not only between the lifting platform 140 and one or more conveyor tables 215, but also between the lifting platform 140 and any housing compartment suitable for accommodating the storage shelf 115.
[0143] In fact, the length of the service shelf 180 (i.e., the distance between the support cross braces 195) can be substantially the same as the length of the storage shelf 115 (i.e., the distance between the support cross braces 135), so that each pair of coplanar supports protruding from the opposite shoulders of the shelf 105 can also support the support cross braces 195 of the service shelf 180.
[0144] Like the storage shelf 115, the service shelf 180 can also be inserted into and removed from the structure of each shelf 105 by means of translational movement in a direction parallel to the support cross brace 195, such as through its front sidewall.
[0145] Once the service shelf 180 has been unloaded, the lifting platform 140 can then, with the aid of the aforementioned dragging system, pull out one of the storage shelves 115 from the rack 105 and load it onto itself, for example, to transfer it to one of the conveyor belts 215 or to another location within the same rack 105 or another rack 105.
[0146] For this purpose, the storage shelf 115 can be provided with hooks 235 similar to those on the service shelf 180 (see...). Figure 9-11 ).
[0147] Therefore, a relocation procedure can be performed periodically on the storage shelves 115 along with the corresponding boxes CP within the shelf 105, thereby concentrating most of the boxes CP in a limited and predetermined area of the shelf 105, thus achieving space optimization.
[0148] Alternatively, by bringing the storage shelf 115 to the conveyor 215, the user can be allowed to inventory and / or refill the materials in the relevant box CP.
[0149] However, it should be noted that, with the help of the dragging system described above, the lifting platform 140 can also pull out one of the conventional storage pallets 500 and load the conventional storage pallet 500 onto it when needed / as required, for example, to transfer it to one of the conveyor tables 215 or to another location within the same shelf 105 or another shelf 105.
[0150] For this purpose, the storage tray 500 may also be provided with hooks 235 similar to those on the service shelf 180.
[0151] Therefore, users will be able to store and manage a wider range of materials within warehouse 100, such as smaller materials in box CP and larger materials in storage pallets 500.
[0152] The processing device 250 is further mounted on the lifting platform 140. When the lifting platform 140 is provided with the service shelf 180, the processing device 250 is configured to move the box CP on the lifting platform 140 and between the lifting platform and the storage shelf 115 placed in the shelf 105.
[0153] First, the processing device 250 includes a sliding bracket 255, which is mounted on the lifting platform 140.
[0154] For example, the sliding bracket 255 can be installed on the lower part of the lifting platform 140, that is, on the side opposite to the service shelf 180, so that it can be vertically aligned below the latter.
[0155] On the lifting platform 140, the sliding bracket 255 is adapted to slide along a horizontal sliding direction parallel to the length of the service shelf 180.
[0156] Therefore (see Figure 20-22 The sliding bracket 255 may be equipped with a skid 260, which connects to two guide rails 265 (see...). Figure 16 Each guide rail 265 can be attached to a corresponding support 145 of the lifting platform 140, for example, to the lower surface of the support 145.
[0157] The sliding bracket 255 slides on and relative to the lifting platform 140 by a suitable actuation system, which may include at least one motor 270 (see...). Figure 15 For example, an electric motor 270 is mounted at a fixed position on the lifting platform 140, such as at one of the cross braces 150.
[0158] The motor 270 can be adapted to move a flexible transmission member 275 (e.g., a belt) wound around a plurality of return pulleys also mounted on the lifting platform 140, thereby following a closed path comprising at least one section extending parallel to the length of the lifting platform 140, preferably along its entire length or almost its entire length (see [link to relevant documentation]). Figure 14 ).
[0159] The sliding bracket 255 can be anchored to the segment of the flexible transmission member 275, so that the sliding of the flexible transmission member (originating from the motor 270, which can, for example, actuate one of the pulleys) also drives the sliding bracket 255 to slide.
[0160] The processing device 250 also includes a lifting device 280, which is mounted on a sliding bracket 255 to move along the longitudinal direction with the sliding bracket.
[0161] The lifting device 280 can be positioned vertically below the service shelf 180, or more precisely, below the central space 200 defined by the service shelf 180, for example, between the supports 145 of the lifting platform 140.
[0162] The lifting device 280 is adapted to carry the loading plane 285 and move the loading plane 285 in the vertical direction so that it is in a lowered position relative to the sliding bracket 255 and therefore relative to the lifting platform 140 (see Figure 28 ) and elevation position (see Figure 33 The loading plane 285 moves between the two positions. In the lowered position, the loading plane 285 is at a lower height relative to the support surface of the box CP defined by the service shelf 180. In the raised position, the loading plane 285 (e.g., through the central space 200 of the service shelf 180) is at a higher height relative to the support plane, and preferably above the entire service shelf 180.
[0163] Specifically (see) Figure 20-22 The lifting device 280 may include a support 290 connected to a suitable guide member integrated into the sliding bracket 255, thereby moving in a vertical direction and bearing the loading plane 285 on its top.
[0164] The vertical movement of the support 290 relative to the sliding bracket 255 is controlled by an actuating device, which may include a motor 295 (e.g., an electric motor) mounted in a fixed position on the sliding bracket 255 itself.
[0165] The motor 295 can be adapted to rotate one or more toothed pinions 300, which, for example, have a horizontal axis of rotation. Each toothed pinion 300 is integral with the sliding bracket 255 and meshes with a corresponding rack 305, which, for example, has a vertical extension but is attached to the support 290.
[0166] Therefore, the rotation of the toothed pinion 300 caused by the motor 295 causes the rack 305 to slide vertically, and consequently the support 290 and the loading plane 285 to slide vertically.
[0167] The processing device 250 further includes an actuation system for a loading plane 285, which enables the loading plane 285 to move relative to the lifting device 280, for example, relative to the support 290 that carries the loading plane.
[0168] Specifically, the actuation system can be positioned between the loading plane 285 and the support 290, and is adapted to move the loading plane 285 in a horizontal and translational direction orthogonal to the sliding direction of the sliding bracket 255, so that it is in a central position (see example). Figure 21 , 22 (and 30) moves between two opposing lateral positions, in which the loading plane 285 is vertically aligned with the service shelf 180, or more precisely with the central space 200 defined by the service shelf, and in the two opposing lateral positions, the loading plane 285 protrudes laterally relative to the service shelf 180, wherein the first lateral position (see example) Figure 23 , 24 In position 285 (not shown, as it is essentially a mirror image of the previous position), the loading plane 285 is vertically aligned with the storage shelf 115 of one shelf 105.
[0169] This occurs at least when the loading plane 285 is in an elevated position or at least at a level higher than the service shelf 180 placed on the lifting platform 140.
[0170] More details (see) Figure 21-26 The actuation system for the loading plane 285 may include a horizontal support arm 310 that carries the loading plane 285 and can telescopically extend in opposite directions from a retracted configuration (where the loading plane 285 is in a central position) to two extended configurations (where the loading plane 285 is in a first or second lateral position).
[0171] More precisely, from Figure 21 Starting with the retractable structure shown above, the support arm 310 can extend telescopically in two directions, selectively bringing the loading plane 285 into place. Figure 23-26 The first lateral position shown or the second lateral position (not shown for reasons already explained).
[0172] To achieve this length variation, each support arm 310 may include three parts or segments (fixed part 315, first pull-out part 320 and second pull-out part 325).
[0173] Each of these parts can be shaped as an elongated body, horizontally oriented and parallel to the elongated body of the other parts defining the support arm 310.
[0174] Therefore, the longitudinal axis of the support arm 310 is parallel to / coincides with the longitudinal axis of the parts forming the support arm.
[0175] The fixed portion 315 is mounted on the lifting device 280, for example, attached to or defined on the top of the support 290. The first pull-out portion 320 is slidably connected to the fixed portion 315 to slide on the fixed portion along its own longitudinal axis (defining its pull-out direction). Finally, the second pull-out portion 325 is slidably connected to the first pull-out portion 320 to slide on the first pull-out portion and slides on the fixed portion 315 along its own longitudinal axis (i.e., along the same pull-out direction) with the first pull-out portion.
[0176] The loading plane 285 may be defined by or attached to the upper surface of the second pull-out portion 325.
[0177] When the support arm 310 is in the retracted configuration, the fixed portion 315, the first pull-out portion 320, and the second pull-out portion 325 actually overlap (see...). Figure 21 and Figure 22 ).
[0178] like Figure 25 and Figure 26 As shown, in order to allow each support arm 310 to extend, the first pull-out portion 320 may include a rack 330 oriented parallel to the pull-out direction, in other words, parallel to the longitudinal axis of the support arm 310.
[0179] The rack 330 may be defined by a section of a toothed band attached to the first pull-out portion 320, for example, below the plate defining the first pull-out portion.
[0180] The rack 330 engages with a toothed belt 335, which is wound around a plurality of pulleys 340 in a closed loop, and these pulleys are associated with a fixed portion 315.
[0181] These pulleys 340 include at least one drive pulley connected to an actuation motor 345 adapted to rotate it, such as an electric motor (see below). Figure 20 ).
[0182] The actuation motor 345 can be mounted, for example, at a fixed position on the support 290 of the lifting device 280.
[0183] Thus, the rotation of the drive pulley causes the belt 335 to slide, and the belt causes the first pull-out portion 320 to slide linearly relative to the fixed portion 315 in one direction or the opposite direction (depending on the direction of rotation) by dragging the rack 330.
[0184] To allow the second pull-out portion 325 to be pulled out, the telescopic support arm 310 includes a pair of straps 350 and 350', both of which are in... Figure 24 As can be seen in, and in Figure 25 and Figure 26 One can be seen at a time.
[0185] Each of these belts 350' and 350" has a first end and a second segment, the first end being referred to as 355' and 355", respectively, which is attached to the fixed portion 315, and the second end being referred to as 360' and 360", respectively, which is attached to the second pull-out portion 325. The belts 350' and 350" pass through the interior and are wound in an open-circuit manner around the corresponding pulleys (referred to as 365' and 365", respectively), which are associated with the first removable portion 320.
[0186] Generally, the two strips 350' and 350" are configured to convert any sliding of the first pull-out portion 320 relative to the fixed portion 315 into sliding of the second pull-out portion 325 relative to the fixed portion 315 in the same direction but to twice the extent.
[0187] More specifically, each portion of the support arm 310 includes two opposing axial ends, which may be referred to as the front end (e.g., see reference ). Figure 25 and Figure 26 (left end of the view) and rear end (e.g., reference) Figure 25 or Figure 26 (Right end of the view).
[0188] 350' of the belt ( Figure 25 The ends 355' and 360' of the first pull-out portion 325 are respectively attached to the front end of the fixed portion 315 and the front end of the second pull-out portion 325, and are wound in an open path on the pulley 365' which is rotatably attached to the rear end of the first pull-out portion 320.
[0189] Therefore, when the first pull-out portion 320 moves to the right (e.g., from...), Figure 21 The construction to Figure 25 When the construction of 26 is completed, the pulley 365' around which the belt 350' is wound moves with it, and by lengthening the section between the end 355' of the belt 350' attached to the fixed part 315 and the pulley 365, the remaining section is shortened by a factor of two, forcing the second pull-out part 325 to move to the right by a factor of two.
[0190] Correspondingly, another belt 350” Figure 26 The ends 355” and 360” of the strip shown are respectively attached to the rear end of the fixed part 315 and the rear end of the second pull-out part 325, and are wound in an open path on the pulley 365” which is rotatably attached to the front end of the first pull-out part 320.
[0191] For example, when the support arm 310 is in Figure 21 When the minimum extension configuration is achieved, the second belt 350” is positioned substantially symmetrically with respect to the first belt 350' relative to the vertical plane of symmetry orthogonal to the support arm 310.
[0192] Therefore, when the first pull-out portion 320 moves to the right (as previously assumed), the pulley 365” around which the second belt 350” is wound moves with it, and by shortening the section of the belt 350” between the end 355” attached to the fixed portion 315 and the pulley 365”, the remaining section is allowed to extend twice, thereby facilitating the movement of the second pull-out portion 325.
[0193] Conversely, when the first pull-out portion 320 moves to the left (from...) Figure 21 (Starting from the state), the pulley 365” around the second belt 350” moves with it, and by lengthening the section between the end 355” of the belt 350” attached to the fixed part 315 and the pulley 365”, the remaining section will be shortened by half, forcing the second pull-out part 325 to always move to the left by twice the amount.
[0194] In this case, the first belt 350' will facilitate the displacement of the second pull-out portion 325.
[0195] With the aid of this belt system, motor 345 is advantageously able to actuate the sliding of the first pull-out portion 320 and the (twice) sliding of the second pull-out portion 325.
[0196] Finally, warehouse 100 may include an electronic control system (not shown) configured to control the operation of the warehouse, particularly the operation of all the aforementioned actuation / motor systems.
[0197] The following describes this operation, assuming it begins in the following state (see...). Figure 27 and Figure 28 The lifting platform 140 carries the empty service shelf 180, and the loading plane 285 of the processing device is in a centrally lowered position.
[0198] According to this configuration, the user can set a request in the control system, that is, the user can request the supply of certain boxes CP stored in the shelf 105 and / or certain materials contained in the boxes CP.
[0199] After memorizing the positions of different boxes (CP) and / or their corresponding materials within the shelf 105, the control system can implement an optimization algorithm that allows the required boxes (CP) to be retrieved from the shelf 105 in the shortest time and / or with the fewest moves based on the user's request.
[0200] In fact, by using these optimization algorithms, the control system can determine the optimal sequence for loading the boxes CP onto the service shelves 180 carried by the lifting platform 140.
[0201] In order to pick up the first box CP in the sequence, the control system commands the lifting platform 140 to move to a height corresponding to the height of the storage shelf 115 where the box CP to be picked up is located, if necessary.
[0202] The corresponding height does not necessarily refer to the same height as the storage shelf 115 mentioned above, but rather to a height adjacent to that of the storage shelf 115, which allows the processing device 250 to operate as described below (see...). Figure 28 ).
[0203] Before, after, or more preferably during, the possible movement of the lifting platform 140, the control system may command the sliding bracket 255 of the processing device 250 to slide along the lifting platform 140 and stop at a longitudinal position corresponding to the position occupied by the box to be picked up CP on the corresponding storage shelf 115 (see...). Figure 29 ).
[0204] When the sliding bracket 255 and the lifting platform 140 are in these positions, the lifting device 280 of the processing unit 250 can raise the loading plane 285 from the lowered position to the raised position, for example by passing it through the central space 200 defined by the service shelf 180.
[0205] However, at this stage, the loading plane 285 can stop at an intermediate position between the lowering and raising positions (see...). Figure 30 The condition is that, in this intermediate position, the loading plane is positioned at a height higher than the service shelf 180 and lower than the height of the box CP to be picked up and placed on the storage shelf 115.
[0206] At this point, the electronic system can command the loading plane 285 to translate horizontally from its current central position toward one of two possible lateral positions, depending on the shelf 105 where the box CP to be picked up is located. This causes the loading plane 285 to slide beneath the box CP, sliding within the space between the forks 120 of the storage shelf 115 supporting the box (see...). Figure 31 and Figure 32 ).
[0207] Once the desired lateral position is reached, the lifting device 280 can further raise the loading plane 285 to bring it to the elevated position (see...). Figure 33 ).
[0208] In doing so, the loading surface 285 first contacts and then lifts the box CP, causing the box CP to be vertically separated from the storage shelf 115 that was originally placed there.
[0209] After this, loading plane 285 can be translated backward and returned to the central position (see...). Figure 34 and Figure 35Thus, the box CP is brought above the service shelf 180 on the lifting platform 140.
[0210] If necessary, the box CP can be moved longitudinally, for example to allow subsequent loading of other box CPs located in the same longitudinal position on other storage shelves 115.
[0211] Therefore, while keeping the loading plane 285 in the raised position, the electronic system can command the sliding bracket 255 to slide along the lifting platform 140 until it reaches the most suitable longitudinal position for the picked-up box CP.
[0212] At this point, the electronic system can command the lifting device 280 to move the loading plane 285 vertically toward the lowered position, bringing it back below the support plane of the box CP defined by the service shelf 180 (see...). Figure 36 ).
[0213] Therefore, during descent, the picked-up box CP touches the supporting plane, in this case the protruding brackets 205 and 210, thereby remaining resting on the service shelf 180 and vertically separated from the loading plane 285 of the processing device 250.
[0214] Therefore, the procedure can be simply repeated for all other boxes in the loading sequence until a row of boxes is formed on the service shelf.
[0215] In this regard, it should be noted that the repetition of the procedure is not hindered by boxes CP that may already be loaded on the service shelf 180, because by keeping the loading plane 285 in the lowered position, the sliding bracket 255 can freely pass under them and always move to the longitudinal position corresponding to the next box CP to be loaded.
[0216] The only condition is that the longitudinal position is still free, which is why some boxes CP may have to be conveniently repositioned along the service shelf 180 once they are brought onto the lifting platform 140.
[0217] This can be done as described above when the box CP is loaded, but it can also be done later by simply returning the sliding bracket 255 under the box CP to be repositioned, raising the loading plane 285 toward the raised position, and finally moving the sliding bracket 255 together with the box CP on it until the new position is reached.
[0218] In any case, once the boxes CP on the service shelf 180 are fully lined up, the control system can command the lifting platform 140 to move to the corresponding height of the conveyor 215, where the service shelf 180 with all the picked-up boxes CP can be unloaded (e.g., by means of the described drag system) to make it available to the requesting user.
[0219] Afterwards, the service shelf 180 can be reloaded onto the lifting platform 140, and by reversing the aforementioned operation, the box CP can be returned to the shelf 105.
[0220] As mentioned above, warehouse 100 may sometimes be equipped with more conveyor belts 215 and may be equipped with more service shelves 180.
[0221] Therefore, when the first service shelf 180 is available to the user in the conveyor 215, the lifting platform 140 can load the second service shelf 180, on which other boxes CP to be released to another conveyor 215 can be placed.
[0222] Alternatively or additionally, one of the two shelves 105 may be provided with an auxiliary compartment, for example, inaccessible from the outside, which is adapted to temporarily accommodate a second service shelf 180, thereby serving as a “buffer zone” for the conveyor 215.
[0223] The auxiliary compartment can be located near the conveyor 215, for example at essentially the same height but in the shelf 105 opposite to the shelf 105 on which the conveyor 215 is formed, so as to be able to accommodate at least two service shelves 180 loaded with boxes CP at the same time (e.g., overlapping each other).
[0224] Therefore, after the first service shelf 180 loaded with boxes is released into the conveyor 215, the lifting platform 140 can pick up the second service shelf 180 loaded with boxes from the shelf 105 and bring it into the auxiliary compartment.
[0225] Once the user has finished operating the box CP on the first service shelf 180, the lifting platform 140 can then pick up the first service shelf 180 from the conveyor 215 and transfer it to the auxiliary compartment, which is preferably located nearby and can be reached quickly.
[0226] Immediately afterwards, the lifting platform 140 can remove the second service shelf 180 waiting in the auxiliary compartment and immediately transfer it to the conveyor 215.
[0227] Finally, while the user is operating the box CP on the second service shelf 180, the lifting platform 140 can pick up the first service shelf 180 from the auxiliary compartment and return it to the shelf 105.
[0228] In other cases, the lifting platform 140 can release one or more empty service shelves 180 into auxiliary compartments or onto any other support pair of the shelf 105 (i.e., into any other receiving compartment provided for the storage shelf 115), and can load the entire storage shelf 115 onto itself to bring it to the conveyor 215 when needed.
[0229] Thus, a complete box CP row is provided to the operator in the conveyor 215, which can be automatically arranged on the storage shelf 115 by the lifting platform 140 while the storage shelf 115 is still on the rack 105, without the need for operator supervision (e.g., at night).
[0230] The possibility of transferring storage shelf 115 to conveyor 215 may also help allow operators to perform the aforementioned inventory operations or fill box CP.
[0231] In warehouse 100 Figures 38 to 40 A particularly advantageous operating mode can be implemented when at least two conveyor tables 215 are included (each conveyor table is arranged in one of the two shelves 105).
[0232] Using this architecture, it can be stipulated that the storage shelves 115 arranged in each shelf 105 are transported and released in the conveyor 215 associated with the opposite shelf 105.
[0233] Referring to the attached drawings, it can therefore be specified that the storage shelf 115 arranged in the left-side shelf 105 is transported and released into the right-side conveyor 215 (see attached drawings). Figure 38 And the storage shelf 115 arranged in the right-hand shelf 105 is transported and released into the left-hand conveyor 215 (see...). Figure 39 ).
[0234] With this arrangement, when the storage shelf 115 is placed in the corresponding conveyor 215, the free end of the fork 120 of the storage shelf 115 faces the outside of the warehouse 100 (in fact, it should be remembered that on the shelf 105, the free end of the fork 120 of the storage shelf 115 faces the operating space 110).
[0235] Therefore, the operation of picking up and / or repositioning the box CP from / on the storage shelf 115 located in the corresponding conveyor 215 becomes much easier.
[0236] In particular, such as Figure 40 As shown, it is much easier to perform the above operations using an automated system, such as an autonomous vehicle 600, a linear conveyor system 605 (e.g., a roller conveyor or a conveyor belt), etc.
[0237] Obviously, those skilled in the art can make various modifications to the above description in terms of technical application without departing from the scope of the invention claimed below. For example, although a warehouse 100 with two shelves 105 has been shown, it is not excluded that in other embodiments, the warehouse 100 may include only one shelf 105.
