[0092] In 3GPP NR, multiple panel nodes, transmit-receive point (TRP) nodes, and / or remote radio head (RRH) nodes within a cell can communicate simultaneously with a single UE to enhance coverage, throughput, and reliability. However, these nodes may not be co-located; for example, they may be placed in remote locations. Therefore, coherent transmissions from multiple nodes to the same UE via multiple nodes can involve strict time and frequency synchronization to ensure signal alignment from different TRPs, otherwise the signals may not be constructively combined, compromising the gain of Coherent Joint Transmission (CJT). CJT (also referred to herein as "joint transmission") is a technique used in wireless networks to improve signal power and spatial diversity. In CJT, multiple transmitters send common messages to a receiver (e.g., a UE), where the phases are constructively combined at the receiver.

[0093] Therefore, this disclosure supports techniques for reporting time offsets, frequency offsets, and phase offsets to enable synchronization for CJTs. For example, it implements a UE indication including a selected subset of TRPs from a set of TRPs configured by the network, wherein the selected subset of TRPs is based on a set of constraints regarding the maximum time, frequency, and / or phase drift across TRPs. Furthermore, an enhanced DL RS configuration is provided, which enables the capture of higher resolution time shifts and / or frequency shifts.

[0094] Various aspects of this disclosure also support UE-assisted indications of time, frequency, and phase drift measured by the UE based on DL RS from different TRPs, wherein the indication implies pre-compensation for one or more DMRS in PDSCH or PDCCH and modification of PMI size and / or CQI SB size. Furthermore, the technology is also supported for UL RS-based indications of time, frequency, and phase drift measured by the UE based on DL RS from different TRPs, wherein the indication is in the form of corresponding ULRS time, frequency, and / or phase offset.

[0095] By utilizing the described techniques, higher resolution time, frequency, and phase shift can be achieved in multipoint transmission in wireless communication, thereby enabling increased signal fidelity and reduced signal delay.

[0096] The aspects of this disclosure are described in the context of wireless communication systems.

[0097] Figure 1An example of a wireless communication system 100 according to various aspects of this disclosure is illustrated. The wireless communication system 100 may include one or more NEs 102, one or more UEs 104, and a core network (CN) 106. The wireless communication system 100 may support various radio access technologies. In some implementations, the wireless communication system 100 may be a 4G network, such as an LTE network or an LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) network. In some other implementations, the wireless communication system 100 may be an NR network, such as a 5G network, a 5G-Advanced (5G-A) network, or a 5G Ultra Wideband (5G-UWB) network. In other implementations, the wireless communication system 100 may be a combination of 4G and 5G networks, or other suitable radio access technologies, including IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi), IEEE 802.16 (WiMAX), and IEEE 802.20. The wireless communication system 100 may support radio access technologies beyond 5G, such as 6G. In addition, the wireless communication system 100 can support technologies such as time division multiple access (TDMA), frequency division multiple access (FDMA), or code division multiple access (CDMA).

[0098] One or more NEs 102 may be distributed throughout a geographic area to form a wireless communication system 100. One or more of the NEs 102 described herein may be, include, or may be referred to as network nodes, base stations, network elements, network functions, network entities, radio access networks (RANs), NodeBs, eNodeBs (eNBs), next-generation NodeBs (gNBs), or other suitable terms. NEs 102 and UEs 104 may communicate via a communication link, which may be a wireless connection or a wired connection. For example, NEs 102 and UEs 104 may perform wireless communication (e.g., receiving signaling, sending signaling) via a Uu interface.

[0099] NE 102 can provide a geographic coverage area for which NE 102 can support services for one or more UE 104s within that geographic coverage area. For example, NE 102 and UE 104 can support wireless communication of signals associated with services (e.g., voice, video, packet data, messaging, broadcasting, etc.) based on one or more radio access technologies. In some implementations, NE 102 can be mobile, for example, a satellite associated with a non-terrestrial network (NTN). In some implementations, different geographic coverage areas associated with the same or different radio access technologies can overlap, but different geographic coverage areas can be associated with different NE 102s.

[0100] One or more UEs 104 may be distributed throughout the geographic area of the wireless communication system 100. UE 104 may include or be referred to as a remote unit, mobile device, wireless device, remote device, subscriber device, transmitter device, receiver device, or some other suitable term. In some implementations, UE 104 may be referred to as a unit, station, terminal, or client, among other examples. Additionally or alternatively, UE 104 may be referred to as an Internet of Things (IoT) device, an Internet of Everything (IoE) device, or a Machine Type Communication (MTC) device, among other examples.

[0101] UE 104 can support direct wireless communication with other UE 104s via a communication link. For example, UE 104 can support direct wireless communication with another UE 104 via a device-to-device (D2D) communication link. In some implementations, such as vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) deployments, vehicle-to-everything (V2X) deployments, or cellular V2X deployments, the communication link may be referred to as a sidelink. For example, UE 104 can support direct wireless communication with another UE 104 via a PC5 interface.

[0102] NE 102 may support communication with CN 106, or with another NE 102, or both. For example, NE 102 may interface with other NE 102 or CN 106 via one or more backhaul links (e.g., S1, N2, N6, or other network interfaces). In some implementations, NE 102 may communicate directly with each other. In some other implementations, NE 102 may communicate indirectly with each other (e.g., via CN 106). In some implementations, one or more NE 102 may include sub-components, such as access network entities, which may be an example of an Access Node Controller (ANC). The ANC may communicate with one or more UE 104s via one or more other access network transport entities, which may be referred to as a wireless head, smart wireless head, or TRP.

[0103] CN 106 can support user authentication, access authorization, tracking, connectivity, and other access, routing, or mobility functions. CN 106 can be an evolved packet core (EPC) or a 5G core (5GC), which may include control plane entities that manage access and mobility (e.g., Mobility Management Entity (MME), Access and Mobility Management Functions (AMF)) and user plane entities that route or interconnect packets to external networks (e.g., Serving Gateway (S-GW), Packet Data Network (PDN) Gateway (P-GW), or User Plane Function (UPF)). In some implementations, the control plane entities may manage non-access stratum (NAS) functions such as mobility, authentication, and bearer management (e.g., data bearers, signaling bearers, etc.) for one or more UEs 104 served by one or more NEs 102 associated with CN 106.

[0104] CN 106 can communicate with a packet data network via one or more backhaul links (e.g., via S1, N2, N6, or other network interfaces). The packet data network may include an application server. In some implementations, one or more UEs 104 can communicate with the application server. UE 104 can establish a session with CN 106 via NE 102 (e.g., a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session, etc.). CN 106 can use the established session (e.g., an established PDU session) to route traffic (e.g., control information, data, etc.) between UE 104 and the application server. A PDU session can serve as an example of a logical connection between UE 104 and CN 106 (e.g., one or more network functions of CN 106).

[0105] In the wireless communication system 100, NE 102 and UE 104 can use the resources of the wireless communication system 100 (e.g., time resources (e.g., symbols, time slots, subframes, frames, etc.) or frequency resources (e.g., subcarriers, carriers)) to perform various operations (e.g., wireless communication). In some implementations, NE 102 and UE 104 can support different resource structures. For example, NE 102 and UE 104 can support different frame structures. In some implementations, such as in 4G, NE 102 and UE 104 can support a single frame structure. In some other implementations, such as in 5G and other suitable radio access technologies, NE 102 and UE 104 can support various frame structures (i.e., multiple frame structures). NE 102 and UE 104 can support various frame structures based on one or more parameter sets.

[0106] One or more parameter sets may be supported in the wireless communication system 100, and the parameter sets may include subcarrier spacing and cyclic prefix. The first parameter set (e.g., =0) can be associated with the first subcarrier spacing (e.g., 15 kHz) and the normal cyclic prefix. In some implementations, the first set of parameters (e.g., ) associated with the first subcarrier spacing (e.g., 15 kHz) is different. =0) can utilize one time slot per subframe. The second parameter set (e.g., =1) can be associated with the second subcarrier spacing (e.g., 30 kHz) and the normal cyclic prefix. The third parameter set (e.g., =2) can be associated with the third subcarrier spacing (e.g., 60 kHz) and a normal cyclic prefix or an extended cyclic prefix. The fourth parameter set (e.g., =3) can be associated with the fourth subcarrier spacing (e.g., 120 kHz) and the normal cyclic prefix. The fifth parameter set (e.g., =4) can be associated with the fifth subcarrier spacing (e.g., 240 kHz) and the normal cyclic prefix.

[0107] Time intervals for resources (e.g., communication resources) can be organized according to frames (also known as radio frames). Each frame can have a duration, for example, 10 milliseconds (ms). In some implementations, each frame can include multiple subframes. For example, each frame can include 10 subframes, and each subframe can have a duration, for example, 1 ms. In some implementations, each frame can have the same duration. In some implementations, each subframe of a frame can have the same duration.

[0108] Alternatively or concurrently, the time intervals of resources (e.g., communication resources) can be organized according to time slots. For example, a subframe may include a certain number (e.g., quantity) of time slots. The number of time slots in each subframe may also depend on one or more parameter sets supported in the wireless communication system 100. For example, the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth parameter sets (i.e., ...) associated with corresponding subcarrier intervals of 15 kHz, 30 kHz, 60 kHz, 120 kHz, and 240 kHz. =0、 =1、 =2、 =3、 =4) A single time slot per subframe, two time slots per subframe, four time slots per subframe, eight time slots per subframe, and 16 time slots per subframe can be used. Each time slot can include a certain number (e.g., quantity) of symbols (e.g., OFDM symbols). In some implementations, the number (e.g., quantity) of time slots used for a subframe can depend on the parameter set. For a normal cyclic prefix, a time slot can include 14 symbols. For an extended cyclic prefix (e.g., for a 60 kHz subcarrier spacing), a time slot can include 12 symbols. The relationship between the number of symbols per time slot, the number of time slots per subframe, and the number of time slots per frame for both normal and extended cyclic prefixes can depend on the parameter set. It should be understood that the first parameter set (e.g., 15 kHz) associated with the first parameter set (e.g., =0) can be used interchangeably between subframes and time slots.

[0109] In wireless communication system 100, the electromagnetic (EM) spectrum can be divided into various categories, frequency bands, frequency channels, etc., based on frequency or wavelength. For example, wireless communication system 100 can support one or more operating frequency bands, such as frequency range name 1 (FR1) (410 MHz – 7.125 GHz), FR2 (24.25 GHz – 52.6 GHz), FR3 (7.125 GHz – 24.25 GHz), FR4 (52.6 GHz – 114.25 GHz), FR4a or FR4-1 (52.6 GHz – 71 GHz), and FR5 (114.25 GHz – 300 GHz). In some implementations, NE 102 and UE 104 can perform wireless communication on one or more operating frequency bands. In some implementations, FR1 can be used by NE 102 and UE 104, along with other devices or apparatuses, for cellular communication traffic (e.g., control information, data). In some implementations, FR2 can be used by NE 102 and UE 104, as well as other devices or apparatuses, for short-range, high-data-rate capabilities.

[0110] FR1 can be associated with one or more parameter sets (e.g., at least three parameter sets). For example, FR1 can be associated with the first parameter set (e.g., ...). =0), which includes a 15 kHz subcarrier spacing; the second parameter set (e.g., =1), which includes a 30 kHz subcarrier spacing; and a third parameter set (e.g., =2), which includes a 60 kHz subcarrier spacing. FR2 can be associated with one or more parameter sets (e.g., at least two parameter sets). For example, FR2 can be associated with a third parameter set (e.g., =2), which includes a 60 kHz subcarrier spacing; and a fourth parameter set (e.g., =3), which includes a 120kHz subcarrier spacing.

[0111] According to the implementation, multiple NEs 102 and UEs 104 can be coordinated according to various aspects of this disclosure, and as part of the implementation of CJT, such as enabling the reporting of time, frequency, and phase offset from UE 104 to one or more NEs in NE 102, thereby achieving synchronization for CJT.

[0112] Figure 2 The diagram illustrates system 200 according to various implementations. For example, system 200 includes multiple panels 202 in a coordinated cluster connected to central unit 204 and UE 104. For 3GPP NR, multiple panel nodes, TRP nodes, and / or RRH nodes within a cell can communicate with a single UE simultaneously to enhance coverage, throughput, and reliability. These nodes may not be co-located; for example, they may be placed in remote locations, as shown in system 200. Coherent transmissions from multiple nodes to the same UE via multiple nodes can involve strict time and frequency synchronization to ensure signal alignment from different TRPs, which could otherwise fail to be constructively combined, resulting in a loss of CJT gain.

[0113] In wireless communication systems such as the Rel-17 High-Speed Train Single Frequency Network (HST-SFN) scheme, a framework for Doppler indication is used, where the UE is configured with two TRSs, both of which are QCLed and have the same DMRS port set for PDSCH, enabling the resolution of time / frequency drift caused in CJT. A drawback of the Rel-17 HST-SFN scheme 1 framework is its UE-based solution, which involves complex equalization to align signals transmitted from multiple two-TRPs, where the complexity increases with the number of TRPs (e.g., up to 4 TRPs in the Rel-18 CJT framework).

[0114] In the Rel-17 HST-SFN Scheme B framework for Doppler indication, the UE is configured with a TRS, along with frequency pre-compensation at the network node via SRS. A drawback of the Rel-17 HST-SFN Scheme 2 framework is its limited frequency pre-compensation and difficulty in generalizing to more than two TRPs.

[0115] In the Rel-18 Time Domain Channel Attribute (TDCP) report used for time correlation identification, the UE is configured with an independent TDCP report to obtain information about the power delay profiles of different TRPs and thus infer cross-TRP time synchronization information. The drawback is that while the Rel-18 TDCP report can help obtain frequency-based synchronization information across different TRPs, it cannot be directly used to obtain cross-TRP time synchronization information.

[0116] For the NR Rel.15 Type-II codebook, it is assumed that the gNB is equipped with a two-dimensional (2D) antenna array, with each polarization having N 1 N 2 One antenna port ( N 1 The horizontal dimension of the array and N 2 (In the vertical dimension). In the frequency domain, communication is... N 3 This is performed on 2 PMI subbands, where each subband consists of a set of resource blocks (RBs), and each RB consists of a set of subcarriers. Considering dual polarization, for the NRRel.15 Type-II codebook, there are 2 N 1 N 2 One CSI-RS port is utilized to enable high-resolution DL channel estimation. To reduce feedback overhead in the UL, a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT)-based transform is used to project the channel onto L spatial beams (shared by dual polarization), where L < N 1 N 2 In the following text, the indexes of the L beams are referred to as the spatial domain (SD) base indexes. The amplitude and phase values of the 2L linear combination coefficients for each subband are fed back to the gNB as part of the CSI report. Each layer l 2 N 1 N 2 x N 3 The codebook takes the following form: , in W 1 It is a 2 N 1 N 2 x2 L Block diagonal matrix ( L < N 1 N 2 ), having two identical diagonal pieces, for example: and B It is N 1 N2 x L The matrix, whose columns are taken from the 2D oversampled DFT matrix, is as follows: superscript T This represents the matrix transpose operation. B In L The indexes of the selected columns are reported, along with the indexes of the selected columns. O 1 O 2 Oversampling of values together. Caution should be exercised. W 2,l Independent across different layers.

[0117] For the NR Rel.15 Type-II port selection codebook, in order to reduce complexity, K (of which) K ≤2 N 1 N 2 Beamforming CSI-RS ports are utilized in DL transmission. Each layer K x N 3 The codebook matrix takes the following form: .

[0118] Here, It follows the same structure as the traditional NR Rel.15 Type-II codebook and is layer-specific. It is K x2 L A block-diagonal matrix, having two identical diagonal blocks, for example: and E It is A matrix whose columns are standard unit vectors, as follows: in It is the first i There is a standard unit vector with a value of 1 at each position. [0120] in short, m PS Parameterized E The position of the first 1 in the first column, and d PS Indicates corresponding to mPS Row shifting for different values.

[0121] The NR Rel.15 Type-I codebook is the baseline codebook for NR and has multiple configurations. One application of the NR Rel.15 Type-I codebook is the NR Rel.15 Type-II codebook, which has the following configurations for RI=1,2. L The special case of =1; where the phase coupling value is reported for each sub-band (e.g., W 2,l 2x N 3 The first row is equal to [1, 1, …, 1], and the second row is equal to Under certain configurations, φ 0 = φ 1 …= φ (e.g., wideband reporting). For RI>2, different beams are used for each layer pair. The NR Rel.15 Type-I codebook can be described as a low-resolution version of the NR Rel.15 Type-II codebook, with spatial beam selection and phase combination for each layer pair. More details about the NR Rel.15 Type-I codebook can be found in "WFonTypeIandIICSI codebooks", R1-1709232, Samsung et al., Hangzhou, China, May 15-19, 2017.

[0122] For the NR Rel.16 Type-II codebook, it is assumed that the gNB is equipped with a two-dimensional (2D) antenna array, with each polarization having N 1 N 2 One antenna port ( N 1 The horizontal dimension of the array and N 2 (In the vertical dimension). In the frequency domain, communication is... N 3 It occurs on each PMI subband, where each subband consists of a set of resource blocks (RBs), and each RB consists of a set of subcarriers. Considering dual polarization, for the NR Rel.16 Type-II codebook, there are 2 N 1 N 2 One CSI-RS port is utilized to enable high-resolution DL channel estimation. To reduce feedback overhead in the UL, a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT)-based transform is used to project the channel onto L spatial beams (shared by dual polarization), whereL < N 1 N 2 Similarly, additional compression is applied in the frequency domain, where each beam of the frequency domain precoding vector is transformed to the delay domain using an inverse DFT matrix, and the amplitude and phase values of a subset of the delay domain coefficients are selected and fed back to the gNB as part of the CSI report. 2 per layer N 1 N 2 x N 3 The codebook takes the following form: , in W 1 It is a 2 N 1 N 2 x2 L Block-diagonal matrix ( L < N 1 N 2 ), having two identical diagonal pieces, for example: and B It is N 1 N 2 x L A matrix whose columns are taken from the 2D oversampled DFT matrix, as follows: superscript T This represents the matrix transpose operation. It should be noted that... O 1 , O 2 The oversampling factor is assumed to be used for the 2D DFT matrix, the matrix B It is constructed based on this 2D DFT matrix. It should be noted that... [0124] For the NR Rel.16 Type-II port selection codebook, in order to reduce complexity, K (of which) K ≤2 N 1 N 2 Beamforming CSI-RS ports are utilized in DL transmission. Each layer K x N 3 The codebook matrix takes the following form: .

[0125] Here, and W f,l It follows the same structure as the traditional NR Rel.16 Type-II codebook, where both are layer-specific. Matrix yes K x2 L A block-diagonal matrix, which has the same structure as the NR Rel.15 Type-II port selection codebook.

[0126] The NR Rel.17 Type-II port selection codebook follows a similar structure to the Rel.15 and Rel.16 port selection codebooks, as follows: .

[0127] However, unlike the Rel.15 and Rel.16 Type-II port selection codebooks, the port selection matrix... Supports the free selection of K ports, or more precisely, per polarization. N 1 N Each polarization in the two CSI-RS ports K / 2 ports, for example Bits are used to identify the K / 2 selected ports for each polarization, where the selection is common across layers. Here, and W f,l It follows the same structure as the traditional NR Rel.16 Type-II codebook, however M The network configuration is restricted to {1,2}, where for M=2, the network configuration size is... N The window is {2,4}. Furthermore, unless... β =1, otherwise the bitmap is reported, and the UE reports coefficients for a maximum rank of 2.

[0128] For CSI reports, the codebook report is divided into two parts based on the priority of the reported information. Each part is encoded separately (part 1 may have a higher code yield). Example parameters for the NR Rel.16 Type-II codebook are listed below.

[0129] Regarding the content of the CSI report:

[0130] Part 1: Total of RI + CQI + coefficients

[0131] Part 2: SD Basic Indicator + FD Basic Indicator / Layer + Bitmap / Layer + Coefficient Amplitude Information / Layer + Coefficient Phase Information / Layer + Strongest Coefficient Indicator / Layer

[0132] Furthermore, Part 2 CSI can be broken down into subparts, each with a different priority (higher priority information is listed first). This division can be used to allow dynamic reporting of codebook size based on available resources in the UL phase.

[0133] Additionally, the Type-II codebook is based on aperiodic CSI reporting and is reported in the Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) triggered by downlink control information (DCI) (with one exception). The Type-I codebook can be based on periodic CSI reporting (Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH)), semi-persistent CSI reporting (PUSCH or PUCCH), or aperiodic reporting (PUSCH).

[0134] For priority reports used in CSI Part 2, it should be noted that multiple CSI reports can be sent with different priorities, as shown in Table 1 below. N Rep CSI report priority is based on the following: a CSI report set up for a single cell may have a higher priority than another CSI report set up for the same cell; a CSI report targeting one cell may have a higher priority than another CSI report targeting another cell; a CSI report may have a higher priority based on its content. For example, a CSI report for Layer 1 (L1) Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) information may have a higher priority; a CSI report may have a higher priority based on its type. For example, whether a CSI report is aperiodic, semi-persistent, or periodic, and whether the report is transmitted via PUSCH or PUCCH, can all affect the priority of the CSI report.

[0135] Given these factors, CSI reports can be prioritized as follows, with CSI reports having higher priority if they have lower IDs: s CSI report settings index, and M s The maximum number of CSI reports set. c : Cell index, and N cells Number of service communities k For CSI reports carrying L1-RSRP or L1-SINR, the value is 0; otherwise, it is 1. y: 0 for non-periodic reporting; 1 for semi-persistent reporting on PUSCH; 2 for semi-persistent reporting on PUCCH; 3 for periodic reporting. Table 1: Priority Reporting Levels for Partial 2 CSI

[0136] For triggering non-periodic CSI reporting on the PUSCH, the UE will use the CSI framework in NR version 15 to report CSI information for the network. The triggering mechanism between reporting settings and resource settings can be summarized in Table 2 below. Table 2: Triggering Mechanisms Between Report Settings and Resource Settings

[0137] In addition: the associated resource settings for CSI reporting will have the same time-domain behavior; periodic CSI-RS / IM resources and CSI reports can be assumed to exist and be active after being configured by RRC; non-periodic and semi-persistent CSI-RS / IM resources and CSI reports can be explicitly triggered or activated; non-periodic CSI-RS / IM resources and non-periodic CSI reports are triggered jointly by sending DCI format 0-1; semi-persistent CSI-RS / IM resources and semi-persistent CSI reports are activated independently.

[0138] Figure 3 The diagram illustrates the non-periodic triggering states that define a list of CSI report settings. For non-periodic CSI-RS / IM resources and non-periodic CSI reports, triggering is performed jointly by sending DCI format 0-1. DCI format 0-1 includes a CSI request field (bits 0 to 6). A non-zero request field points to the so-called non-periodic triggering state configured by RRC (see, for example, Figure 2 The non-periodic trigger state is further defined as a list of up to 16 non-periodic CSI report settings, identified by a CSI report setting ID. For this ID, the UE simultaneously calculates the CSI and transmits the CSI on the scheduled PUSCH transmission.

[0139] When CSI reporting settings are linked to aperiodic resource settings (which may include multiple resource sets), the aperiodic NZP CSI-RS resource set for channel measurements, the aperiodic CSI-IM resource set (if used), and the aperiodic NZP CSI-RS resource set for IM (if used) for a given CSI reporting setting are also included in the aperiodic trigger state definition. For aperiodic NZP CSI-RS, the QCL source to be used is also configured in the aperiodic trigger state. The UE assumes that the resources used for channel and interference calculations can be processed using the same spatial filter, for example, regarding "QCL-TypeD" quasi-co-location.

[0140] Figure 4 The non-periodic triggering state indicating resource sets and QCL information is illustrated at position 400. Figure 5a and Figure 5b The diagrams illustrate RRC configurations for NZP-CSI-RS / CSI-IM resources. For example, diagram 500 illustrates an RRC configuration for an NZP-CSI-RS resource, and diagram 502 illustrates an RRC configuration for a CSI-IM resource.

[0141] In Table 3, the types of UL channels used in CSI reports are summarized as functions of CSI codebook types. Table 3: UL channels used in CSI reporting as functions of CSI codebook types

[0142] For non-periodic CSI reporting, PUSCH-based reporting is divided into two CSI parts: CSI Part 1 and CSI Part 2. This is because the size of the CSI payload varies significantly, and therefore, the worst-case UCI payload size design would result in substantial overhead. CSI Part 1 has a fixed payload size (and can be decoded by the gNB without prior information) and includes the following: RI (if reported), CRI (if reported), and CQI for the first codeword; the number of non-zero wideband amplitude coefficients for each layer of the Type II CSI feedback on the PUSCH.

[0143] Figure 6 The diagram at position 600 illustrates a partial CSI omission for Rel.15 PUSCH-based CSI. CSI section 2 has a variable payload size, which can be derived from the CSI parameters in CSI section 1, and includes PMI and CQI for the second codeword when RI > 4. For example, if the aperiodic trigger state indicated by DCI format 0_1 defines three reporting settings x, y, and z, then the aperiodic CSI report for CSI section 2 will be... Figure 6The order indicated in the text is sorted.

[0144] As discussed in this paper, CSI reports can be prioritized based on the following: temporal behavior and physical channel, where more dynamic reports are given higher priority than less dynamic reports, and PUSCH has higher priority than PUCCH; CSI content, where beam reports (e.g., L1-RSRP reports) have higher priority than regular CSI reports; the serving cell corresponding to the CSI (in the case of CA operation). CSIs corresponding to the primary cell (PCell) have higher priority than CSIs corresponding to the secondary cell (SCell); and reportConfigID.

[0145] For CQI reporting, CSI reporting may include a CQI reporting amount corresponding to channel quality (assuming a target (e.g., maximum) transport block error rate), which indicates the modulation order, code rate, and the corresponding spectral efficiency associated with that modulation order and code rate pair. Examples of target transport block error rates are 0.1 and 0.00001. The modulation order can vary from a maximum of QPSK to 1024QAM, while the code rate can vary from a maximum of 30 / 1024 to 948 / 1024. An example of a CQI table for a 4-bit CQI indicator is provided in Table 4 below, which identifies possible CQI values and their corresponding modulation order, code rate, and efficiency.

[0146] CQI values can be reported in two formats: wideband format (where one CQI value is reported for each PDSCH transport block) and subband format, where a wideband CQI value is reported for each transport block in addition to a set of subband CQI values corresponding to the CQI subbands transmitted on that transport block. The CQI subband size is configurable and depends on the number of PRBs in the bandwidth portion (BWP), as shown in Table 5. Table 4: Examples of 4-bit CQI Tables Table 5: Configurable Subband Sizes for a Given BWP Size

[0147] If CSI report settings CSI-ReportConfig Higher-level parameters cqi-BitsPerSubband If configured, the subband CQI value is reported in full, for example, based on a CQI table (e.g., Table 4), using 4 bits for each subband CQI. If CSI-ReportConfig Higher-level parameters cqi-BitsPerSubband If not configured, then for each subband s The 2-bit subband differential CQI value is reported, defined as follows: - Sub-band offset level (s = Subband CQI Index ( s - Broadband CQI Index.

[0148] The mapping from 2-bit subband differential CQI values to offset levels is shown in Table 6. Table 6: Mapping of Subband Differential CQI Values to Offset Levels

[0149] Additionally, it should be noted that multiple tables corresponding to mapping CQI indices to modulation and coding schemes may exist. For example, Table 7 below may correspond to a first CQI table with modulation and coding schemes corresponding to eMBB-based transmissions, while Table 8 below for COI may correspond to a first CQI table with modulation and coding schemes corresponding to URLLC-based transmissions. It should be noted that eMBB-based DL transmissions and URLLC-based DL transmissions correspond to two different thresholds for the transport block error probability; wherein the threshold for the transport block error probability corresponding to URLLC-based DL transmissions (e.g., 0.00001) is lower than the threshold for the transport block error probability corresponding to eMBB-based DL transmissions (e.g., 0.1). [0150] Figure 7 Example 700 of ASN.1 code for configuring an NZP-CSI-RS resource set according to various aspects of this disclosure is illustrated, relating to multi-resolution precoding based on multiple submatrixes. The aspects of multi-resolution precoding based on multiple submatrixes include a TRS and / or a TRS that is transmitted to establish fine time and frequency synchronization at the UE to assist in the demodulation of the PDSCH, particularly for higher-order modulation. The TRS is an NZP CSI-RS resource set with "TRS-info" set to true. As shown in Example 700, "trs-info" indicates that the antenna ports of the NZP-CSI-RS resources in the CSI-RS resource set are identical. The TRS includes 2 or 4 periodic CSI-RS resources with a period of 2. -μ Xp time slots, where Xp = 10, 20, 40, or 80, and where μ is related to the subcarrier spacing (SCS) (e.g., for 15, 30, 60, 120, 240 kHz, respectively). μ=0, 1, 2, 3, 4). The slot offsets for these 2 or 4 CSI-RS resources are configured such that the first resource pair is transmitted in one slot, and the second resource pair (if configured) is transmitted in the next (adjacent) slot. For example... Figure 8 As shown in the figure, all four resources are single-port resources with a density of 3.

[0151] Figure 8 Example 800 of a TRS configuration according to various aspects of this disclosure is illustrated, relating to multi-resolution precoding based on multiple sub-matrixes. In this example 800, the two CSI-RS within a time slot are separated by four symbols in the time domain. This time-domain separation sets a limit on compensable frequency errors (e.g., maximum). Similarly, the frequency-domain separation of the four subcarriers sets a limit on compensable timing errors (e.g., maximum). The number of TRS that a UE can be configured with is a UE capability. For example, the number of TRS resource sets that a UE can simultaneously track (per component carrier (CC)): candidate value set {1 to 8}. The number of TRS resource sets configured for the UE per CC: candidate value set: {1 to 64}. For FR1, the UE can report at least 8, and for FR2, the UE can report at least 16. The number of TRS resource sets configured for the UE across CCs: candidate value set {1 to 256}. For FR1, the UE can report at least 16, and for FR2, the UE can report at least 32. Furthermore, aperiodic TRS is an optionally configurable aperiodic CSI-RS used for tracking, while periodic TRS can be configured, and its time and frequency domain configurations (excluding the period) match those of the periodic TRS. The UE may assume that aperiodic TRS resources and periodic TRS resources are quasi-co-located.

[0152] Figure 9 Example 900 of ASN.1 code for QCL information according to various aspects of this disclosure is illustrated, relating to multi-resolution precoding based on multiple submatrices. In this example 900, the Transport Configuration Indicator (TCI) state (in example 900 and configured by RRC) will have two QCL types (e.g., two RS), where the second QCL type is used for operation in FR2.

[0153] Referring to the reception of DMRS and DMRS used for PDSCH, QCL Type A attributes (Doppler shift, Doppler spread, average delay, delay spread) can be inferred from the periodic TRS. Furthermore, for periodic TRS, QCL Type C attributes (average delay, Doppler shift) can be inferred from the synchronization signal block (SSB) block. DMRS is used to estimate channel coefficients, applying coherent detection of the physical channel. For DL, DMRS is subject to the same precoding as PDSCH. NR defines two time-domain structures for DMRS based on the position of the first DMRS symbol. For example, mapping type A, where the first DMRS is located in the second and third symbols of the time slot, and the DMRS is mapped relative to the start of the time slot boundary, regardless of where the actual data transmission occurs within the time slot. Alternatively, mapping type B, where the first DMRS is located in the first symbol of the data allocation, meaning the DMRS position is given relative to the location of the data, not the time slot boundary.

[0154] The mapping of PDSCH transmissions can be dynamically signaled as part of DCI. Furthermore, DMRS has two types, Type 1 and Type 2, which differ in frequency domain mapping and the number of orthogonal RSs (e.g., the maximum number). Type 1 can provide up to four orthogonal signals using a single-symbol DMRS and up to eight orthogonal RSs using a two-symbol DMRS. For four orthogonal signals, ports 1000 and 1001 use an even number of subcarriers and are separated in the code domain within the code division multiplexing (CDM) group (orthogonal sequences of length -2 in the frequency domain). Antenna ports 1000 and 1001 belong to CDM group 0 because they use the same subcarriers. Similarly, ports 1002 and 1003 belong to CDM group 1 and are generated in the same manner using an odd number of subcarriers. DMRS Type 2 has a similar structure to Type 1, but depending on the number of symbols, Type 2 can provide 6 or 12 modes. Four subcarriers are used for each resource block and each CDM group to define three CDM groups.

[0155] Figure 10 Example 1000 of ASN.1 code for a PDSCH-Config IE according to various aspects of this disclosure is illustrated, relating to multi-resolution precoding based on multiple submatrices. In this example 1000, it should be noted that the configuration of the DMRS type is provided independently for each PDSCH and PUSCH, each mapping type (A or B), and each BWP via higher-layer signaling (see RRC configuration). As shown in example 1000, the PDSCH-Config IE is used to configure UE-specific PDSCH parameters.

[0156] Figure 11 Example 1100 of ASN.1 code for DMRS-DownlinkConfig according to various aspects of this disclosure is illustrated, relating to multi-resolution precoding based on multiple submatrices. In this example 1100, IE DMRS-DownlinkConfig is used to configure DL DMRS for PDSCH.

[0157] Figure 12 and Figure 13 Example 1200 illustrates a DMRS pattern for mapping Type A with a leading DMRS, according to various aspects of this disclosure, in relation to multi-resolution precoding based on multiple submatrices. In this example 1200, the temporal mapping of the DMRS pattern can be decomposed into two parts. For example, the first part defines the DMRS pattern for the leading DMRS, and then the second part defines the set of additional DMRS symbols for the scheduled data channel duration, which, depending on the length of the leading DMRS, can be single-symbol or double-symbol. Within the scheduled temporal allocation of the PDSCH, the UE can expect up to four DMRS symbols. The DMRS positions are defined by both higher-layer configuration and dynamic (DCI-based) signaling, such as dmrs-TypeA-Position, maxLength, and dmrs-AdditionalPosition. When double-symbol DMRS is used, at most one additional double-symbol DMRS can exist (a total of four DMRS symbols within the PDSCH allocation). Different DMRS patterns for mapping Type A with a leading DMRS are illustrated in example 1200.

[0158] In the absence of CSI-RS configuration, and unless otherwise configured, the UE may assume that the PDSCH DMRS and SS / Physical Broadcast Channel (PBCH) block antenna ports are quasi-co-located with respect to Doppler shift, Doppler spread, average delay, delay spread, and spatial receiver (Rx) parameters (if applicable). However, the CSI-RS used for tracking may be used as a QCL reference (e.g., with a larger bandwidth (BW) than the SS / PBCH block). Furthermore, the UE may assume that the PDSCH DMRS within the same CDM group are quasi-co-located with respect to Doppler shift, Doppler spread, average delay, delay spread, and spatial Rx. The UE can then perform joint estimation of the DMRS ports (which is CDMed) using the same long-term statistics, and for different DMRS ports of the same PDSCH, the UE may not measure or use different long-term statistics.

[0159] For codeword-to-layer mapping, the UE can assume that the complex-valued modulation symbols to be transmitted for each codeword are mapped to one or more layers according to Table 9 below. (For codewords) q Complex modulation symbols Can be mapped to layers superior, ,in For the number of layers, and This represents the number of modulation symbols per layer. Table 9: Codeword-to-Layer Mapping for Spatial Multiplexing

[0160] The following discussion covers antenna panels / ports, quasi-co-location, TCI states, and spatial relationships. In some implementations, the terms antenna, panel, and antenna panel are used interchangeably. An antenna panel can be hardware used to transmit and / or receive radio signals at frequencies below 6 GHz (e.g., FR1) or above 6 GHz (e.g., FR2 or millimeter wave (mmWave)). In some implementations, the antenna panel may include an array of antenna elements, where each antenna element is connected to hardware such as a phase shifter, which allows a control module to apply spatial parameters to the transmission and / or reception of signals. The resulting radiation pattern may be referred to as a beam, which may or may not be single-peaked, and may allow the device to amplify signals transmitted or received from spatial directions.

[0161] In some implementations, antenna panels may or may not be virtualized as antenna ports in the specification. For each of the transmission (outbound) and reception (inbound) directions, the antenna panels can be connected to the baseband processing module via a radio frequency (RF) chain. The device's capabilities regarding the number of antenna panels, its duplex capability, its beamforming capabilities, etc., may or may not be transparent to other devices. In some implementations, capability information can be communicated via signaling, or in others, it can be provided to the device without signaling. Where such information is available to other devices, it can be used for signaling or local decision-making.

[0162] In some implementations, a device (e.g., UE, node) antenna panel can be a physical or logical antenna array, comprising a common or large portion of a set of antenna elements or antenna ports sharing an RF chain (e.g., in-phase / quadrature (I / Q) modulators, analog-to-digital (A / D) converters, local oscillators, phase-shifting networks). A device antenna panel, or “device panel,” can be a logical entity with physical device antennas mapped to that logical entity. The mapping from physical device antennas to logical entities can be implementation-dependent. Communication (receiving or transmitting) on at least a subset of antenna elements or antenna ports (also referred to herein as “active elements”) that actively radiate energy from the antenna panel can utilize the bias or power supply of the RF link, which causes current losses or power consumption in the devices associated with the antenna panel (including power amplifier / low-noise amplifier (LNA) power consumption associated with the antenna elements or antenna ports).

[0163] As used herein, the phrase "active for radiating energy" is not intended to be limited to transmitting functions, but also encompasses receiving functions. Therefore, an antenna element active for radiating energy can be coupled to a transmitter to transmit radio frequency energy, or coupled to a receiver to receive radio frequency energy, simultaneously or sequentially, or generally, coupled to a transceiver, to perform its intended function. Communication enable radiation pattern or beam generation is performed on the active element of the antenna panel.

[0164] In some implementations, depending on the device's own implementation, the "device panel" may function as a unit for independently controlling its Tx beam antenna group, independently controlling its transmission power antenna group, or independently controlling its transmission timing antenna group. The "device panel" may be transparent to the gNB. For certain conditions, the gNB or network may assume that the mapping between the device's physical antennas and the logical entity "device panel" will not be changed. For example, the conditions may include until the next update or report from the device, or include the duration during which the gNB assumes the mapping will not change. The device may report its capabilities regarding the "device panel" to the gNB or network. Device capabilities may include at least the number of "device panels". In one implementation, the device may support UL transmission from one beam within the panel; in the case of multiple panels, more than one beam (one beam per panel) may be used for UL transmission. In another implementation, more than one beam per panel may be supported / used for UL transmission.

[0165] In some of the implementations described, an antenna port is defined such that a symbol on that antenna port is transmitted through the channel through which it is transmitted can be inferred from the channel, and another symbol on the same antenna port is transmitted through that channel.

[0166] If the large-scale properties of a symbol on one antenna port transmitted through its channel can be inferred from the large-scale properties of symbols on other antenna ports transmitted through their channels, then these two antenna ports are referred to as QCLs. Large-scale properties include one or more of the following: delay spread, Doppler spread, Doppler shift, average gain, average delay, and spatial Rx parameter. Two antenna ports can be quasi-co-located with respect to subsets of large-scale properties, and different subsets of large-scale properties can be indicated by the QCL type. The QCL type can indicate which channel properties are the same between two RSs (e.g., on two antenna ports). Therefore, RSs can be linked to each other with respect to assumptions about the UE's channel statistics or QCL properties. For example, the qcl-Type can take one of the following values: - "QCL-TypeA": {Doppler shift, Doppler spread, average delay, delay spread} - "QCL-TypeB": {Doppler shift, Doppler extension} - "QCL-TypeC": {Doppler shift, average delay} - "QCL-TypeD": {space Rx parameter}.

[0167] Spatial Rx parameters may include one or more of the following: angle of arrival (AoA), dominant AoA, average AoA, angle spread, power angle spectrum (PAS) of AoA, average angle of departure (AoD), PAS of AoD, transmit / receive channel correlation, transmit / receive beamforming, spatial channel correlation, etc.

[0168] QCL-TypeA, QCL-TypeB, and QCL-TypeC can be applied to carrier frequencies, while QCL-TypeD can be applied to higher carrier frequencies (e.g., mmWave, FR2, and higher), where the UE may not be able to perform omnidirectional transmission; for example, the UE may form a beam for directional transmission. In QCL-TypeD between two RS A and RS B, RS A is considered spatially co-located with RS B, and the UE can assume that RS A and B can be received using the same spatial filter (e.g., using the same RX beamforming weights).

[0169] Depending on the implementation, an "antenna port" can be a logical port, which may correspond to a beam (generated by beamforming) or a physical antenna on the device. In some implementations, physical antennas can be directly mapped to a single antenna port, where the antenna port corresponds to an actual physical antenna. Alternatively, after applying complex weights, cyclic delays, or both to the signals on each physical antenna, a set or subset of physical antennas, or an antenna set, antenna array, or antenna subarray, can be mapped to one or more antenna ports. A set of physical antennas can have antennas from a single module or panel, or from multiple modules or panels. Weights can be fixed (e.g., in antenna virtualization schemes, such as cyclic delay diversity (CDD)). The process used to derive antenna ports from physical antennas can be device-specific and transparent to other devices.

[0170] In some of the described implementations, the Transport Configuration Indicator (TCI) state associated with the target transmission may indicate parameters used to configure the quasi-co-location relationship between the target transmission (e.g., the target RS of the DMRS port of the target transmission during transmission timing) and (multiple) source RSs (e.g., SSB / CSI-RS / SRS) with respect to (multiple) quasi-co-location type parameters indicated in the corresponding TCI state. The TCI describes which RSs are used as QCL sources and which QCL attributes can be derived from each RS. The device may receive configurations for multiple Transport Configuration Indicator states for the serving cell, used for transmissions on the serving cell. In some of the described implementations, the TCI state includes at least one source RS to provide a reference (UE assumption) for determining the QCL and / or spatial filter.

[0171] In some of the described implementations, spatial relation information associated with the target transmission can indicate parameters used to configure the spatial setup between the target transmission and a reference RS (e.g., SSB / CSI-RS / SRS). For example, the device can transmit the target transmission using the same spatial filter used to receive the reference RS (e.g., a DL RS such as an SSB / CSI-RS). In another example, the device can transmit the target transmission using the same spatial transmission filter used for transmissions to the reference RS (e.g., a UL RS such as an SRS). The device can receive a configuration of multiple spatial relation information settings for the serving cell for transmissions on the serving cell.

[0172] In some of the described implementations, if the device is configured with a separate DL / UL TCI via RRC signaling, a ULTCI state is provided. The UL TCI state may include a source RS, which provides a reference for determining the UL airspace transmission filter for CC or across the configured CC / BWP set (e.g., a PUSCH based on dynamic licensing / configuration licensing, a dedicated PUCCH resource).

[0173] In some of the described implementations, if the device is configured with a joint DL / UL TCI via RRC signaling (e.g., configuration of joint TCI or individual DL / UL TCI based on RRC signaling), a joint DL / UL TCI state is provided. The joint DL / UL TCI state involves at least a common source reference RS, which is used to determine both DL QCL information and UL spatial transmission filters. The source RS determined based on the indicated joint (or common) TCI state provides a QCL Type-D indication (e.g., for device-specific PDCCH / PDSCH) and is used to determine UL spatial transmission filters for CC or across a configured set of CC / BWPs (e.g., for UE-specific PUSCH / PUCCH). In one example, the UL spatial transmission filter is derived based on the RS with DL QCL Type-D in the joint TCI state. The spatial settings for UL transmissions can be determined based on the spatial relationships of the source RSs configured with a qcl-Type set to "type-D" in the joint TCI state.

[0174] The following discussion addresses time, frequency, and phase synchronization issues in CJT. In multipath scenarios, the propagation delay between the earliest and latest arriving paths exceeding a threshold (e.g., the maximum propagation delay) corresponds to a measurement of delay spread, where the inverse of the delay spread is related to the coherent BW of the corresponding channel. In the presence of multiple nodes spatially far apart (e.g., two TRPs), the propagation delay between signal transmissions from these two TRPs corresponds to a measurement of delay spread.

[0175] In a multi-TRP scenario with single-path transmission of the same signal from two nodes, delay spread... t DS This corresponds to the difference in propagation delay between two nodes. It can be mapped to the distance between two TRPs ,in , ,and c It is the speed of light.

[0176] In the example: if the distance between two TRPs m, then This means coherent BW Assuming the PMI subband size is 4 RBs and the SCS is 30kHz, the BW reported by the PMI is... Its value is greater than that of coherent BW. Therefore, more TRP collaborations can be used for time synchronization.

[0177] For frequency-coordinated operations, assume a CFO of 0.01 ppm per TRP (e.g., 0.01 x 10⁻⁶). -6 x f c ), assuming GHz, the offset across two TRPs (e.g., the maximum offset) is . Assuming a 5ms delay in applying the CSI report, the resulting phase difference is:

[0178] Furthermore, assuming the TRP is moving at a distance of 54 km / h, the Doppler shift becomes... This causes a total frequency shift of 350 Hz.

[0179] It should be noted that time synchronization mismatch can be caused by at least three factors: (1) Local clock synchronization error. Although it is assumed that synchronization between cells can be ensured via satellite positioning, for example, based on GPS, the synchronization error varies from 10 ns to at most 1 ns; (2) Hardware defects. Even if the RRH is synchronized via GPS, the signal transmission timeline is still affected by hardware problems (transmission delay caused by RF problems); (3) Propagation delay. This is due to the delay in the propagation of signals from two non-co-located sources to the same destination at different times.

[0180] In OFDM systems, symbols on a subcarrier experience a frequency-flat channel as long as the delay spread is within the duration of the cyclic prefix (CP) (see Table 10). However, for channels with high delay spread, the precoding resolution can be improved (e.g., by reducing the PMI / CQI SB size) because the precoding unit can span multiple subcarriers. Frequency synchronization mismatch can be caused by at least two factors: (1) CFO: the shift of the carrier frequency at the RF front end compared to the nominal carrier frequency; (2) Doppler shift: caused by the relative motion of the receiver with respect to (multiple) transmitters.

[0181] Unlike delay spread, handling frequency-shifted signals at the UE is more challenging and requires a complex receiver architecture, especially in the case of DL CJT, which assumes the same DMRS port is associated with two signals. Table 10: The NR parameter set shows SCS, symbol duration, CP, and corresponding overhead.

[0182] Therefore, aspects of this disclosure support reporting on time, frequency, and phase offset for CJT synchronization. In the discussion below, the following concepts are used interchangeably: network node, TRP, panel, antenna set, antenna port set, uniform linear array, cell, node, radio head, communication (e.g., signal / channel) associated with the control resource set (CORESET) pool, and communication associated with TCI states from a transmission configuration including at least two TCI states. Furthermore, the codebook type used for PMI reporting can vary, providing flexibility for using different codebook types, such as Type-II Rel.16 codebook, Type-II Rel.17 codebook, Type-II Rel.18 codebook, etc. TRS can correspond to a configuration with the parameter " trs- info The NZP CSI-RS resource set. Matrices can represent sequences of fields of arbitrary dimensions, including arrays of values (vectors), standard 2D matrices, and more generally Q-dimensional matrices (tensors), where Q ≥2 is an integer value. The terms multi-TRP, CJT, joint transmission, and CoMP are used interchangeably to refer to multiple nodes sending the same signal to the UE. Several implementations are described below. According to these implementations, one or more elements and / or features from one or more of the described implementations can be combined in various ways.

[0183] The implementation described herein supports instructions for measuring and / or reporting synchronization information. For example, the network can be configured for the UE to report synchronization information corresponding to at least one of time, frequency, or phase of the DL CJT. Instructions corresponding to the configuration for reporting synchronization information can be one or more of the following, as discussed below.

[0184] In the implementation, the indication corresponding to the configuration of the report synchronization information can be included. CSI- ReportConfig CSI report settings include higher-level parameters within IE (e.g.) sync-info , calibration-info In ), the CSI-ReportConfig The CSI report setting IE configures the UE to report synchronization information corresponding to at least one of time, frequency, and phase for the CJT. Higher-level parameters can appear in different sub-elements of the report setting IE. An example of ASN.1 code corresponding to this implementation is in... Figure 14 and 15 Provided in the middle for use CSI-ReportConfig The report is set to IE.

[0185] Figure 14 and Figure 15 An example of ASN.1 code for an IE 1400 according to various aspects of this disclosure is illustrated. For example, the IE 1400 can be used to configure the UE to report synchronization information corresponding to at least one of time, frequency, and phase corresponding to a CJT. In implementation, instructions corresponding to the configuration for reporting synchronization information can be included. CSI- ReportConfig CSI report settings include higher-level parameters within IE (e.g.) sync-info , calibration-info In ), the CSI-ReportConfig The CSI report settings IE configures the UE to report synchronization information corresponding to at least one of the time, frequency, and phase of the CJT, such as IE 1400. Higher-level parameters can appear in different sub-elements of the report settings IE.

In the implementation, higher-level parameters (e.g., calibration-info ) is configured in the codebook configuration CodebookConfig IE (for example, CodebookConfig-r18 Within this context, in another implementation, whenever the codebook type is set to "typeII-CJT-r18" or "typeII-CJT-PortSelection-r18", the new parameter is a higher-level parameter. codebookType The sub-parameter 1602 is included. In the implementation, the configuration corresponding to the report synchronization information is based on the report volume corresponding to CSI (e.g., reportQuantity The values of higher-level parameters are indicated and / or inferred.

In the example, this corresponds to the second reporting quantity (e.g., reportQuantity1 The second higher-level parameter can indicate the configuration corresponding to the report synchronization information (SI). In another implementation, the configuration corresponding to the report synchronization information is based on the configuration corresponding to the PDSCH (e.g., pdsch-config The value of a higher-level parameter is used to indicate or infer the result.

[0189] The implementations described herein provide TRP selection based on network-configured synchronization criteria. For example, if a UE is configured to measure synchronization information corresponding to at least one of time, frequency, and phase for a DL CJT, and the UE is configured to perform a selection of a subset of TRPs from a set of TRPs configured by the network for the DL CJT, then the UE can perform the selection of a subset of TRPs from the set of TRPs based on a set of criteria corresponding to the synchronization information corresponding to at least one of time, frequency, and phase for the DL CJT. Several implementations are described below. According to these implementations, one or more elements or features from one or more of the above implementations can be combined.

[0190] In the implementation, at least one criterion in the criterion set is based on a first constraint regarding the time offset between two TRPs corresponding to the DL CJT, wherein the time offset between TRPs in a subset of TRPs is no greater than a first threshold based on the first constraint. In the example, the first threshold is in the form of a fraction of the CP value associated with the DL transfer, for example, the first threshold is in the form of... ,in α is the duration value of CP, and α is a coefficient whose value is at least a subset of the values {1 / 8, 1 / 4, 1 / 3, 1 / 2, 2 / 3, 3 / 4}.

[0191] In the example, the first threshold is expressed as a fraction of the symbol duration value associated with the DL transfer; for example, the first threshold is expressed as... ,in It is the symbol duration value, and It is a coefficient, whose value is at least taken from the value. A subset of.

[0192] In the example, the first threshold is expressed as a fraction of the slot duration value associated with the DL transmission; for example, the first threshold is expressed as... ,in It is the time slot duration value, and It is a coefficient, whose value is at least taken from the value. A subset of.

[0193] In the example, the first threshold is on the order of time values (e.g., absolute time values), such as microseconds or nanoseconds. In the example, the first threshold is configured by a higher layer of the network, such as in the DL configuration or CSI reporting configuration. In the example, the first threshold is fixed and known to both the network node and the UE node. In the example, the time offset corresponds to a measurement of average delay, delay spread, the inverse of the channel's coherent BW, or a combination thereof.

[0194] In the implementation, at least one standard in the standard set is based on a second constraint regarding the frequency offset between two TRPs corresponding to the DL CJT, wherein the frequency offset between any TRPs in the subset of TRPs may not exceed a second threshold based on the second constraint. In the example, the second threshold is in the form of a fraction of the SCS value associated with the DL transmission; for example, the second threshold is in the form of... ,in It is the SCS value, and It is a coefficient, whose value is at least taken from the value. A subset of. In the example, the second threshold is on the order of frequency values (e.g., absolute frequency values) whose values are at least a subset of the following: {10,15,30,60,100,150,200,300,500,1000}Hz

[0195] In the example, the second threshold is configured by a higher layer of the network, for example, in the DL configuration or CSI reporting configuration. In the example, the second threshold is fixed and known to both the network node and the UE node. In the example, the frequency offset corresponds to a measurement of Doppler shift, Doppler spread, or a combination thereof.

[0196] In the implementation, at least one criterion in the criterion set is based on a third constraint regarding the phase offset between two TRPs corresponding to the DL CJT, wherein the phase offset between any TRPs in the subset of TRPs may not be greater than a third threshold based on the third constraint. In the example, the third threshold is in the form of a fraction of radian values, for example, the third threshold is in the form of ,in yes Pi The value, and α is a coefficient whose value is at least taken from the value. At least a subset of the values. In the example, the third threshold is on the order of angle values, and its values are at least a subset of the values {10, 15, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, 135, 180} degrees.

[0197] In the example, the third threshold is configured by a higher layer of the network, for example, in the DL configuration or CSI report configuration. In the example, the third threshold is fixed and is known to both the network node and the UE node.

[0198] In the implementation, the selection of a subset of TRPs from the TRP set is based on a fourth constraint regarding the number (e.g., a maximum number) of TCI states associated with the TRP subset, where the TRP subset is grouped into one or more TRP groups, the number of which equals the number of TCI states. In the example, the number of groups is two. In the example, the NZP CSI-RS resources associated with TRPs in the groups of one or more TRP groups are QCLed for Type-A and Type-D, and for DMRS used for PDSCH, if applicable. In the example, the two NZP CSI-RS resources associated with two TRPs associated with two groups of one or more TRP groups are QCLed for Type-C, and for DMRS used for PDSCH. In the example, the number of TRP subsets is no more than twice the number of the one or more TRP groups.

[0199] In the implementation, each TRP is associated with an RS with a different ID. In the example, each TRP is associated with an SS / PBCH with an SSBRI. In the example, each TRP is associated with an NZP CSI-RS resource with a different CSI-RS resource ID, CRI, or a combination thereof. In the example, each TRP is associated with a TRS with a different set of CSI-RS resources. In the example, each TRP is associated with an RS pair, which includes a TRS with a first ID and an NZP CSI-RS resource with a second ID. In the example, the time and frequency configuration of the RS is evaluated based on whether a time offset value or a phase offset value is used.

[0200] In the implementation, a subset of TRPs from the TRP set configured by the network for DL CJT are reported to the network by the UE-generated report fed back to the network on the physical UL channel. In the example, the UE-generated report is a CSI report on the PUSCH with a non-periodic behavior based on network configuration, where the configuration is based on a DCI signal. In the example, the UE-generated report is a CSI report on the PUSCH with a semi-persistent behavior based on network configuration, where the configuration is based on either a DCI signal or a MAC-CE signal. In the example, the UE-generated report is a CSI report on the PUCCH with a semi-persistent behavior based on network configuration, where the configuration is based on either a MAC-CE signal or an RRC signal.

[0201] In another example, the UE-generated report is a periodically fed-back CSI report on the PUCCH based on network configuration, where the configuration is based on either MAC-CE-based signals or RRC-based signals. In this example, the UE-generated report is a CSI report where the indicator for selecting a subset of TRPs from the TRP set can be multiplexed with the CSI report quantity, which includes at least one of the following: CRI, SSBRI, PMI, Rank Indicator (RI), CQI, Layer Indicator (LI), L1-RSRP, L1-SINR, and TDCP. In this example, the UE-generated report is a CSI report where the indicator for selecting a subset of TRPs from the TRP set can be multiplexed with TDCP. In this example, the UE-generated report is a CSI report where the indicator for selecting a subset of TRPs from the TRP set corresponds to an independent CSI report, which corresponds to a CSI report quantity that cannot be multiplexed with other CSI report quantities. In this example, the UE-generated report is an independent report corresponding to a node, RRH, or TRP-based selection report.

[0202] In another example, each TRP in the TRP set corresponds to a different NZP CSI-RS resource, a different TRS, or a combination thereof. In this example, the UE-generated report is associated with a priority value that is higher than the CSI report, which includes at least one of the following: CRI, SSBRI, PMI, RI, CQI, LI, L1-RSRP, L1-SINR, and TDCP, wherein the UE-generated report is multiplexed to the order preceding the CSI report via one of PUSCH or PUCCH.

[0203] In the implementation, the evaluation of the standard set associated with selecting a subset of TRPs from the TRP set is based on a time-constrained parameter. In the example, the channel measurement resources corresponding to the evaluation of the standard set associated with selecting a subset of TRPs from the TRP set are configured with time constraints for channel measurements. For example, the selection of a subset of TRPs from the TRP set is based on the most recent (e.g., no later than the CSI reference resource) timing of the channel measurement resources corresponding to SS / PBCH, NZP CSI-RS, TRS, or combinations thereof, which may be indicated in the CSI resource configuration. In the example, the channel measurement resources corresponding to the evaluation of the standard set associated with selecting a subset of TRPs from the TRP set are not configured with time constraints for channel measurements, where the selection is based on SS / PBCH, NZP CSI-RS, TRS, or combinations thereof no later than the CSI reference resource associated with the CSI resource configuration.

[0204] In another example, if the channel measurement resource is not configured with time constraints for channel measurement, the number of opportunities corresponding to the selected SS / PBCH, NZP CSI-RS, TRS, or combinations thereof is configured by the network. In this example, if the channel measurement resource is not configured with time constraints for channel measurement, the duration is configured by the network and includes at least one transmission opportunity of SS / PBCH, NZP CSI-RS, TRS, or combinations thereof; wherein the duration is identified in milliseconds, time slots, or at least one of the period values of SS / PBCH, NZP CSI-RS, or TRS.

[0205] The implementations described herein address RS configuration for time, frequency, and phase synchronization. For example, a UE configured to measure synchronization information corresponding to at least one of time, frequency, and phase of a DL CJT can be configured to receive one or more RSs to enable the measurement of said time, frequency, and phase information. Several implementations are described below. According to these implementations, one or more elements or features from one or more of the described implementations can be combined.

[0206] In the implementation, the UE is configured with a TRS, where each TRS comprises one or more CSI-RS resources, and the density of each CSI-RS resource in the frequency domain is configured by the network. In the example, the density of each CSI-RS resource is based on the number of TRPs associated with the CJT; for example, the more TRPs, the higher the density of the CSI-RS resources. In the example, the one or more CSI-RS resources are mapped to the same time slot. In the example, the UE is configured with multiple TRSs, each TRS being associated with a different CSI-RS resource corresponding to a TRP, mapped to that resource, or QCLed with that resource. In the example, each of the multiple TRSs is associated with the same one or more CSI-RS resources. In the example, one of the multiple TRSs is a periodic TRS, and the remaining TRSs are aperiodic TRSs. In the example, one TRS is associated with a reference TRP.

[0207] In some implementations, the UE is configured with a TRS, where the TRS comprises multiple CSI-RS resources, and the number of CSI-RS resources within a time slot is configured by the network. In the example, the number of multiple CSI-RS resources in each TRS is based on the number of TRPs associated with the CJT; for example, the more TRPs, the larger the number of multiple CSI-RS resources in each TRS. In the example, multiple CSI-RS resources are mapped to the same time slot. In the example, the UE is configured with multiple TRSs, each TRS associated with a different CSI-RS resource corresponding to a TRP, mapped to that resource, or QCLed with that resource. In the example, each of the multiple TRSs is associated with one or more of the same CSI-RS resources. In the example, one of the multiple TRSs is a periodic TRS, and the remaining TRSs are aperiodic TRSs. In the example, one TRS is associated with a reference TRP.

[0208] In the implementation, the UE is configured with multiple NZP CSI-RS resources, each associated with a different TRP. In the example, the NZP CSI-RS resources are configured with periodic or semi-persistent time-domain behavior, and these NZP CSI-RS resources are configured with the same periodicity value and slot offset, such that these NZP CSI-RS resources are transmitted in the same or consecutive time slots. In the example, the NZP CSI-RS resources are configured with aperiodic time-domain behavior, and the NZP CSI-RS resources are triggered by the same trigger. In the example, each of the multiple NZP CSI-RS resources is associated with the same frequency density, and the frequency density...

[0209] The implementations described herein support UE-assisted reporting of synchronization information. For example, if a UE is configured to measure synchronization information corresponding to at least one of time, frequency, and phase of a DL CJT, the UE can report at least one of the time, frequency, and phase synchronization information corresponding to the DL CJT. Several implementations are described below. According to these implementations, one or more elements or features from one or more of the above implementations can be combined.

[0210] In the implementation, the UE can report the TRP group corresponding to the DL CJT (e.g., K One or more time offset values between TRPs. In the example, the time offset values in the reported one or more time offset values are in the form of a fraction of the CP value associated with the DL transfer, for example, the time offset values are in the form of ,in It is the CP duration value, and It is a coefficient, whose value is at least taken from the value. A subset of, and in The value of the time offset is indicated and reported. In the example, the time offset value of one or more reported time offset values is presented as a fraction of the symbol duration value associated with the DL transmission; for example, the time offset value is presented in the form of... ,in It is the symbol duration value, and It is a coefficient, whose value is at least taken from the value. A subset of, and in The value of the instruction is reported.

[0211] In another example, the time offset value in one or more reported time offset values is presented as a fraction of the slot duration value associated with the DL transmission; for example, a first threshold is presented in the form of... ,in It is the time slot duration value, and It is a coefficient, whose value is at least taken from the value. A subset of, and The indication of the value is reported. In the example, the time offset value of one or more reported time offset values is on the order of time values (e.g., absolute time values), such as microseconds or nanoseconds, and the indication of the time offset value is reported according to a codebook of predetermined time offset values (e.g., absolute time offset values). In the example, the number of one or more reported time offset values is equal to one less than the number of TRP groups (e.g., ...). K (a value of -1), where one or more time offset values are calculated with respect to a reference TRP.

[0212] In another example, the index of the reference TRP is identified by one of the following: network configuration, UE reporting, or based on a rule relating to the index value of the RS associated with that TRP. In this example, the time offset corresponds to a measurement of average delay, delay spread, or a combination thereof.

[0213] In the implementation, the UE can report the TRP group corresponding to the DL CJT (e.g., K One or more frequency offset values between TRPs. In the example, the frequency offset values in the reported one or more time offset values are in the form of a fraction of the SCS value associated with the DL transmission, for example, a second threshold in the form of ,in Let be the SCS value, and α be a coefficient whose value is at least taken from the value. A subset of the frequency offset values, and an indication of the value of α is reported. In the example, the frequency offset values of one or more reported frequency offset values are on the order of frequency values (e.g., absolute frequency values) whose values are at least taken from a subset of values {10, 15, 30, 60, 100, 150, 200, 300, 500, 1000} Hz, and the indication of the frequency offset values is reported according to a codebook of predetermined frequency offset values (e.g., absolute frequency offset values).

[0214] In another example, the number of reported one or more frequency offset values is equal to the number of TRP groups minus one (e.g., K (a value of -1), where one or more frequency offset values are calculated with respect to a reference TRP. In the example, the index of the reference TRP is one of those configured by the network, reported by the UE, or identified based on a rule involving the index value of the RS associated with the TRP. In the example, the frequency offset corresponds to a measurement of Doppler shift, Doppler spread, or a combination thereof.

[0215] In the implementation, the UE is configured to report the TRP group corresponding to the DL CJT (e.g., K One or more phase offset values between (TRPs). In the example, the phase offset value of the one or more reported phase offset values is in the form of a fraction of the radian value (e.g., the phase offset value is in the form of...). ,in yes Pi The value, and α is a coefficient whose value is at least taken from the value. A subset of the TRP values is reported, and an indication of the value of α is provided. In the example, the phase offset values among the reported one or more phase offset values are in the form of angle values, which are at least taken from a subset of values {10, 15, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, 135, 180} degrees, and the indication of the phase offset value (e.g., absolute phase offset value) is reported according to a codebook of predetermined phase offset values (e.g., absolute phase offset values). In the example, the number of reported one or more phase offset values is equal to one less than the number in the TRP group (e.g., ...). K (a value of -1), where one or more phase offset values are calculated with respect to a reference TRP. In the example, the index of the reference TRP is one of those configured by the network, reported by the UE, or identified based on a rule involving the index value of the RS associated with the TRP.

[0216] In the implementation, each TRP is associated with an RS with a different ID. In the example, the time and frequency configuration of the RS is based on whether a time offset value or a phase offset value is evaluated or reported.

[0217] In the implementation, the reported time offset, reported frequency offset, reported phase offset, or a combination thereof, are reported by the UE to the network via the physical UL channel in a UE-generated report fed back to the network. In the example, the UE-generated report is a network-configured CSI report on the PUSCH with a non-periodic behavior feedback, where the configuration is based on a DCI signal. In another example, the UE-generated report is a network-configured CSI report on the PUSCH with a semi-persistent behavior feedback, where the configuration is based on either a DCI signal or a MAC-CE signal.

[0218] In another example, the UE-generated report is a network-configured CSI report on the PUCCH with semi-persistent behavior feedback, wherein the configuration is based on either MAC-CE-based signals or RRC-based signals. In another example, the UE-generated report is a network-configured CSI report on the PUCCH with periodic behavior feedback, wherein the configuration is based on either MAC-CE-based signals or RRC-based signals. In yet another example, the UE-generated report is a CSI report where an indicator for selecting a subset of TRPs from a set of TRPs can be multiplexed with CSI report quantities, including at least one of CRI, SSBRI, PMI, RI, CQI, LI, L1-RSRP, L1-SINR, and TDCP.

[0219] In another example, the report generated by the UE is a CSI report, where the indicator for selecting a subset of TRPs from the TRP set can be multiplexed with TDCP. In another example, the report generated by the UE is an independent CSI report corresponding to a CSI report quantity that cannot be multiplexed with other CSI report quantities. In another example, the report generated by the UE is an independent report corresponding to synchronization information, calibration information, pre-compensation information, or a combination thereof. In another example, the report generated by the UE is associated with a priority value higher than that of the CSI report, which includes at least one of CRI, SSBRI, PMI, RI, CQI, LI, L1-RSRP, L1-SINR, and TDCP, wherein the report generated by the UE is multiplexed to the order preceding the CSI report via one of PUSCH and PUCCH.

[0220] In the implementation, the evaluation of the reported time offset, reported frequency offset, reported phase offset, or a combination thereof is based on a time-constrained parameter. In the example, the channel measurement resources corresponding to the evaluation of the reported time offset, reported frequency offset, reported phase offset, or a combination thereof are configured with time constraints for channel measurements, wherein the selection can be based on the most recent (e.g., no later than the CSI reference resource) timing of the channel measurement resource, corresponding to SS / PBCH, NZP CSI-RS, TRS, or a combination thereof, which can be indicated in the CSI resource settings.

[0221] In another example, the estimated channel measurement resources corresponding to the reported time offset, reported frequency offset, reported phase offset, or a combination thereof are not configured with time constraints for channel measurements, wherein the selection is based on SS / PBCH, NZP CSI-RS, TRS, or a combination thereof no later than the CSI reference resources associated with the CSI resource settings. In this example, if the channel measurement resources are not configured with time constraints for channel measurements, the number of opportunities corresponding to the evaluated SS / PBCH, NZP CSI-RS, TRS, or a combination thereof is configured by the network. In this example, if the channel measurement resources are not configured with time constraints for channel measurements, the duration of at least one transmission opportunity, including SS / PBCH, NZP CSI-RS, TRS, or a combination thereof, is configured by the network; wherein the duration is identified in milliseconds, time slots, or periodic values of SS / PBCH, NZP CSI-RS, or TRS.

[0222] In the implementation, the UE is configured to report the TRP group corresponding to the DL CJT (e.g., KOne or more time offset values, frequency offset values, phase offset values, or combinations thereof between TRPs, where a TRP group is a subset of TRPs selected from a set of TRPs configured by the network. In the example, an indicator of the selected TRP subset is reported in the UE-generated report. In the example, each TRP in the selected TRP subset is identified based on the reporting order of the selected TRP subsets in the UE-generated report. In the example, if the selected TRP subset includes a single TRP, the time offset value, frequency offset value, phase offset value, or combination thereof is not reported in the UE-generated report.

[0223] In implementation, the network can shift the transmission of DMRS for the physical DL channel from at least one TRP in the TRP group in the time domain based on the time offset value reported by the UE and associated with at least one TRP. In one example, the DMRS corresponds to the DMRS for PDSCH. In another example, the DMRS corresponds to the DMRS for PDCCH. In one example, the shift of the DMRS transmission in the time domain relative to the reference time offset value associated with the reference TRP is equivalent to the negative value of the time offset value reported by the UE. In another example, the shift of the DMRS transmission in the time domain is based on a value selected from a grid of values with uniform time intervals, wherein the shift of the transmission is equivalent to the value from the grid of values that is closest to the negative value of the time offset value reported by the UE. In yet another example, the shift of the DMRS transmission in the time domain is based on a value that ensures the delay spread associated with the transmission does not exceed a threshold, which is fixed or network-configured.

[0224] In the implementation, the transmission of the DMRS associated with the reference TRP in the time domain is not indicated to be shifted. It should be noted that such an implementation can still be beneficial even if the total delay spread exceeds the cyclic prefix of the OFDM frame structure before pre-compensation, because pre-compensation helps reduce the total delay spread.

[0225] In the implementation, the network is configured to shift DMRS transmissions in the frequency domain from at least one TRP in a TRP group based on a frequency offset value reported by the UE and associated with at least one TRP. In the example, the DMRS corresponds to the DMRS used for PDSCH. In the example, the DMRS corresponds to the DMRS used for PDCCH. In the example, the shift of the DMRS transmission in the frequency domain relative to a reference frequency offset value associated with a reference TRP is equivalent to a negative value of the frequency offset value reported by the UE. In the example, the shift of the DMRS transmission in the frequency domain is based on a value selected from a grid of values with uniform frequency spacing, wherein the shift of the transmission is equivalent to the value in the grid of values that is closest to the negative value of the frequency offset value reported by the UE. In the example, the shift of the DMRS transmission in the frequency domain is based on a value that ensures the Doppler correlation value (e.g., Doppler spread) associated with the transmission is not greater than a threshold, and this threshold may be fixed or configured by the network. In the implementation, the transmission of the DMRS in the frequency domain associated with the reference TRP will not be shifted.

[0226] In the implementation, the network is configured to shift the transmission phase of the DMRS from at least one TRP in the TRP group based on a phase offset value reported by the UE and associated with at least one TRP. In the example, the DMRS corresponds to the DMRS used for PDSCH. In the example, the DMRS corresponds to the DMRS used for PDCCH. In the example, the shift of the transmission phase of the DMRS relative to a reference phase offset value associated with a reference TRP is equivalent to the negative value of the phase offset value reported by the UE. In the example, the shift of the DMRS transmission in the phase domain is based on values selected from a grid of values with uniform angular intervals, wherein the shift of the transmission is equivalent to the value in the grid of values that is closest to the negative value of the phase offset value reported by the UE. In the implementation, the transmission phase of the DMRS associated with the reference TRP will not be shifted.

[0227] In the implementation, the subband size of PMI, CQI, or a combination thereof is configured based on a time offset value reported by the UE. In the example, the time offset value is used to calculate an estimate of the delay spread associated with CJT. In the example, the estimate of the delay spread value is used to calculate an estimate of the coherent BW of the channel. In the example, the subband size of at least one of PMI and CQI is based on an estimate of the delay spread value, an estimate of the coherent BW of the channel, or a combination thereof. In the example, the subband size of at least one of PMI and CQI is reported in a report generated by the UE. In the example, the subband size of PMI is reported based on the number of PMI subbands within the CQI subband. It should be noted that this implementation can enable the channel response on the PMI / CQI subbands to be flattened, assuming the channel is flat on each subcarrier, for example, the total delay spread is not greater than the cyclic prefix of the OFDM frame structure. One advantage of this method is that, for CJT, it can operate without the pre-compensation of DL RS and PDSCH / PDCCH transmissions, enabling it to operate in MU-MIMO scenarios.

[0228] In the implementation, the CSI report periodicity is configured based on the frequency offset value reported by the UE. In the example, the frequency offset value is used to calculate an estimate of the Doppler-related parameter value associated with the CJT. In the example, the estimate of the Doppler-related parameter value is used to calculate an estimate of the CSI report periodicity. In the example, the estimated CSI report periodicity is reported in the report generated by the UE. In the example, the estimated CSI report periodicity is reported based on the number of time slots or on the order of milliseconds.

[0229] The implementation supports indications for synchronization information based on UL RS. For example, if the UE is configured with measurements of synchronization information corresponding to at least one of time, frequency, and phase for a DL CJT, the UE can transmit one or more UL RSs. For example, one or more UL RSs are shifted in at least one of time, frequency, and phase based on measurements of synchronization information corresponding to at least one of time, frequency, and phase, and the measurements are based on the corresponding DL RS for the DL CJT. The TRP associated with the DLCJT can shift at least one of the transmission time, transmission frequency, and transmission phase of the corresponding DMRS based on measurements of time, frequency, and phase shifts of one or more received UL RSs. Several implementations are described below. According to these implementations, one or more elements or features from one or more of the implementations can be combined in different ways.

[0230] In the implementation, the UE is associated with multiple CSI-RS resources corresponding to multiple TRPs, where each CSI-RS resource is associated with a different SRS resource. In the example, each SRS resource is associated with a CSI-RS resource, where the ID of the CSI-RS resource is indicated in the spatial relationship information of the SRS configuration associated with the SRS resource. In the example, the multiple SRS resources are periodic and are transmitted on the same time slot or in consecutive time slots with different comb offsets. In the example, the multiple SRS resources are semi-persistent and are transmitted via a common trigger signal on the same time slot or in consecutive time slots with different comb offsets. In the example, the multiple SRS resources are aperiodic and are transmitted via a common trigger signal on the same time slot or in consecutive time slots with different comb offsets. In the example, each of the multiple SRS resources is associated with the same SRS density in time and frequency. For example, each SRS resource has the same number of SRS symbols, the same number of subcarriers occupied by each SRS resource, and the same number of OFDM symbols occupied by each SRS resource.

[0231] In implementation, the UE is associated with multiple CSI-RS resources corresponding to multiple TRPs, where each CSI-RS resource is associated with a different SRS resource partition. In the example, an SRS resource partition corresponds to a subset of ports of an SRS resource. In the example, a first SRS resource partition corresponds to a first SRS symbol group of SRS resources in a first OFDM symbol, and a second SRS resource partition corresponds to a second SRS symbol group of SRS resources in a second OFDM symbol, where the SRS resources are configured to repeat, and the second SRS symbol group is a repeat of the first SRS symbol group. In the example, an SRS resource is associated with multiple CSI-RS resources, where the IDs of the multiple CSI-RS resources are indicated in the spatial relationship information of the SRS configuration associated with the SRS resource. In the example, each SRS resource partition is associated with the same density in time and frequency; for example, each SRS resource partition has the same number of SRS symbols, the same number of subcarriers occupied by each SRS resource partition, and the same number of OFDM symbols occupied by each SRS resource partition.

[0232] In implementation, the UE can shift the transmission of at least one UL RS in the time domain based on a time offset value associated with at least one TRP. In the example, the UL RS corresponds to an SRS resource or a DMRS used for PUSCH. In the example, the UL RS corresponds to a preamble on the Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH). In the example, the shift of the UL RS transmission in the time domain relative to a reference time offset value associated with a reference TRP is equivalent to the measured time offset value associated with a DL RS of a TRP. In the example, the UE transmits multiple UL RSs associated with multiple TRPs corresponding to CJTs. In the example, the transmission of the UL RS associated with a reference TRP in the time domain will be based on the corresponding time offset value measured via the DL RS associated with the reference TRP, without shifting the time value.

In the example, the shift of the UL RS transmission in the frequency domain is based on a value selected from a codebook of values. In the example, the UE transmits multiple UL RSs associated with multiple TRPs corresponding to CJTs. In the example, the transmission of the UL RS associated with a reference TRP in the frequency domain will be based on the corresponding frequency offset value measured via the DL RS associated with the reference TRP, without shifting the frequency value.

In the example, each TRP in the TRP group is associated with a frequency adjustment value signaled by the network, where each frequency adjustment value is associated with a different DL RS ID corresponding to a different TRP.

[0237] In another example, each of the multiple frequency adjustment values is associated with a different SRS, which is configured to be used in either BM or synchronization. In this example, the frequency adjustment command is based on MAC CE. In this example, the frequency adjustment value is based on the negative value of the frequency shift of the corresponding UL RS received at the network.

In the example, each timing advance value is a multiple of the basic time unit value corresponding to the frame structure of the NR, for example, a function based on the maximum SCS and FFT size associated with the frame structure.
